Probably Lopez, had 80 winners and 20 unforced errors today, that's a very good ratio for a five-setter. Murray will need to really bring it, Lopez showing some great form. Djokovic should win Tomic, although I believe he maybe challenged a bit as well, who knows ? Federer definitely needs to bring his game-face against Tsonga, the guy is serving huge, being really solid so far. He can't afford to loose focus even if it's just a bit like today. Possible upset there. Fish is not much of a threat to Nadal, unless he serves insanely.

Fish over Nadal :?

The foot issue looked semi-serious and he'll be feeling it tonight after the lidocaine and painkillers wear off.

I want to vote for all of them, but I'll settle for Fish over Nadal; not because Nadal is injured, (he's not), but because he's a poor sport and a liar, and because Fish and the Grass court go together like Surf n' Turf.

Lopez ftw, put up some good ratios during his match. Second pick would probably by Fed-Tsonga. Fed, while played a decent match, inexplicably dropped a few notches or two level wise since his last match. He needs to be either hopeful that Tsonga will suck tomorrow (which seems unlikely at this point given his recent performance) or step up his game.

It's between Lopez and Tsonga. I'll say Tsonga.

Although I expect all the top 4 to reach the semi's quite comfortably. They really are streets ahead of the rest of the field at the moment.

EDIT: Barring injury ofcourse.

I'm in the same boat. Lopez and Fish are pretty tempting, but if last year proved anything is that a big server + big hitter that is on can even take out Fed at Wimby. What the hey, I'll say Tsonga.

I think Tomic has a real chance against Djokovic, he will force Djokovic to dictate play instead of counter punching. Tomic can really take the pace off the ball and move it around well.

The top four are playing well and in good shape. Nadal's not injured, despite what some people on here may say, so I'll go off of the quality of the opponents each is facing. I'm gonna go with Tsonga as the most likely to cause an upset. I'm expecting the top four to make the semis, though.

I dunno, man... if there's one thing that Djokovic has really stepped it up on is putting away no-pace shots. His stroke is too clean right now to worry about junk balls.

Tomic has a chance, especially since Federer won a number of points against Djokovic at the French by taking the pace off the ball, still, that only works if the rest of the balls hit are hard. But, Djokovic doesn't mind dictating points.

One good thing about Fish is that he won't be cowed by Nadal like most players would. They haven't played since Fish was fat or whatever, so Fish might end up scaring Nadal. He's got a decent game on grass and I think he'll go in with the right attitude.

Trust in Bud! It's Fish

If Bud says the foot's bad, so be it.

BTW, I was deked by NBC's poor coverage of the match, cutting off just prior to the first TB, so I knew nothing of the injury. Ergo, I Googled "Nadal Injury"...my phone blew up 20 seconds later!

LOL @ anyone that thinks Fish has a chance against Nadal.

Rafa is fine. He tweaked his foot, but it ended up being fine and he beat DelPo who's level is higher than Fish's could ever be. Mardy has nothing to hurt Rafa.

Djokovic is hardly a defensive counterpuncher though, he's certainly a more offensively minded counterpuncher if he is even one to begin with. No, expect Tomic to be crushed come Wednesday

Delpo's level is higher than anyone else in the tournament right now. Thus Nadal got over the biggest hurdle easy and plain sailing to the title now.

Sure Djokovic can dictate play playing offense, but his best tennis is played counter punching. Djokovic doesn't hit as strong offensively On grass as he does on HC, he doesn't have the same confidence in his setup and footwork.

Tomic's best chance is using his court craft and hoping Djokovic makes some untimely UE's. It is very possible, more likely than Tomic trying to dictate play and winning against him.

I'm really not so sure Nadal will lose his QF, his injury scare didn't look nearly as serious as Murrays at the French for example.

It was probably just a moment of panic. He'll remember his 2009 season for the rest of his career, and every time he gets any sort of pain or injury hes going to be scared it'll happen again.

He'll have his doctors look at it, get treated, and I'm sure he'll be ready to go again on Wednesday. Don't fret! :)

If Rafa plays, that means his injury is probably not serious, so I don't see an upset there. Feli's playing well but he might be tired from today. Haven't watched Tsonga or Tomic play, but Tsonga was good in Queens. So I'll go with Tsonga, not sure tho.

The one and only chance for an upset is Tsonga vs Federer and that is very slim.

Tomic isnt ready for a win the magnitude of beating Djokovic in a slam yet. Maybe the Djokovic of last year he would be, but not the 2011 version.

If Nadal makes it to the court in one piece he cannot possibly lose to Fish in a slam.

And Murray will have no problem with a weary Lopez who played 4 hours today.

Ultimately there will be no upsets and the top 4 will be in the semis, where once again there will likely be no upsets seeing Federer and Nadal in the final, where once again there will likely be no upset and Nadal as Champion again.

Rafa has to see the doctor tomorrow. We don't know that he's fine yet.

I for one am still worried.

Would you believe me if I told you that Lopez played a mixed doubles match after his 5 setter?

BBC News tonight quoted Rafa as saying that he doesn't know if he will be able to play his QF. Having an MRI scan tonight.

yeh, seriously, can you think of a more ridiculous headline than Nadal going out to Fish in a slam. I think the scoreline will utterly embarrass Fish. Something like 6-1, 6-1, 6-0.

Only potential upset is the Murray match, because Murray is always likely to be upset and the top 3 are several levels above him in consistency and solidity. They can get through any match when playing sub-par.

Why does he need an MRI for a fake injury?

Fish or Tsonga. I'd think Fish but he is more likely to fold. Federer seems to like Tsonga's ball but Tsonga is playing well.

You know Mardy Fish is not from Spain, right? Thus he will not be rolling over.

I guess he has already decided he has no chance in the quarters anyway, and is gunning for the mixed doubles title. Did he end up winning that to stay in there atleast?

Hmm...if Tsonga were playing anyone else but Federer (especially Djokovic) I would give him a decent chance at an upset because IMHO he is playing the best tennis of anyone in the tournament, but Federer seems to be able to neutralize his game completely.

Lopez is playing great and should be pumped up after that 5 set win, and already made one "upset" against crowd favorite Roddick. He's in great shape and has an extra day to rest, so I don't think he'll be tired on Wednesday. I'd give him the best shot.

On paper, Fish should be a decent matchup against Nadal because of his strong serve and backhand, but for some reason he has had very poor success against the Spaniard. Then again, they haven't played since 2008 so who knows what could happen.

Djokovic has struggled with Tomic style players in the past so thats a possibility, but I doubt the 18 year old is ready to progress at this point in his career.

So yeah, its gotta be Lopez IMO.

On his day, the only person who can beat Rafa at Wimbledon is Roger.

Discounting those two it's a toss-up between Lopez and Tomic. Murray can lose to absolutely anyone if his mind isn't right, but the crowd support is good for a set at Wimbledon and he has the confidence from his Queens win. Djokovic hasn't really done anything much on grass, and he hasn't played anyone too threatening yet. Conversely, Tomic has the confidence of youth which Lopez doesn't, so my vote goes to Tomic.

Of course, they are all long shots. I'd say Tomic has maybe a 20-25% chance.

Honestly, now that Soderling. Berdych, Del Potro and Roddick are out, none of these guys remaining have much of a chance of defeating the top four, realistically. Now, given how slippery the grass is, there is the possibility of injury after a fall or twisting of an ankle which could be enough to hobble a player.

If someone had to be named, it is Tomic, as he is the unknown commodity, and he may just be one of those few players who finally breaks through at the young (maybe young-ish rather young by tennis standards) age of 18.

I think if Murray plays poorly, Lopez can take a set off of him. I believe Murray likes playing serve and volley types, as he is great at hitting passing shots on the run. Although I can foresee people at TW prognosticating Murray's doom if he tanks the first set (Murray seems to be a bad first set player), only to be repudiated once again.

Tsonga has never been able to do much damage to Federer at slams although Tsonga is playing excellent tennis at the moment. However, he's just one of those guys that Federer owns and I don't see that changing yet.

Unless Nadal shows up in an ankle cast, Fish is unlikely to win a set, and even if he does, Nadal will simply rely on his own tenacity to prevail.

Tomic probably won't do much to Djokovic, but we really don't know what this kid is capable of. It has the potential to be epic, but I would not be surprised if the top four all won in straights.

The word "upset" is giving me the shivers .... just can't take the pressure.

I think Fed vs Tsonga is the toughest of the QF's esp seeing how scrappily he played the R16.

I voted Fish, but really i dont think there will be any upsets

^ basically this.

I like Fish. He seems to be getting better with age, and I think his game is well suited to grass courts.

... but I completely expect to see the top 4 in the semi's.

Tennis is so insane these days. It's always the same drama over and over. The top 4 are always so much more solid and less shaky than the rest, even though #4 is still a choker to the top 3, lol.

Nadal had a knee scare in his match against Muller, a foot scare in his match against Del Potro, another scare in the French Open final this year when Federer was leading in the first set...

He's a scary guy, that Nadal.
