Maria Sharapova's Prince

WHAT RACKET IS MARIA Sharapova really using ? In the Japan open in past week, she looked like she was using a different model of O3 white. On the holes in top and throat, it was Pink in color. And also it definitely looked like it was a extended version of Prince O3 white. So which model is this, and Do they even sell this model somewhere ?

No i saw no speed port like holes there, only regular O3 holes that were pink in top and bottom

My bet would be that it is a customized O3 White that Prince makes for her with the pink ports at 12 and 6.

If you are too lazy, I will throw a dog a bone. She uses the O3 XF White which has 18 x 19 pattern, 100" head, has the handle customized by Roman Prokes(**** Tennis) and it weighs 11.3ozs. unstrung. It is available to the Japanese public (without Prokes' handle work, of course). I obtained one and hated it. It has more control than the American version (16x 19 pattern, no pink) but I performed badly with it, despite all my attempts to customize it and I trashed it.

Maria's prince right now, sadly, is her father.
They've got some strange relationship ... on the order of Martina Hingis and her mom. Ever see either of these players live while sitting above or behind the parent? Basically between every point, there is serious visual contact. Like they are communicating deeply, signals or not.

Vaidisova is doing it too.

That is not heavy and if a woman can't swing a racquet that is 11.8 ozs. strung, she must be critically ill or extremely arthritic. There are other wta pros using heavier racquets than that and years ago, women used 14 oz. wood frames.

I thought the Pink Prince was the same racquet as the White Prince. Wasn't the Pink version a special edition with proceeds going to charity? I thought they sold the Pink one at Tennis Warehouse during the US Open for a limited time.

This is not Pink Prince, this is a different model that is only sold in Japan. It has denser string pattern and is a longer version and little heavier.

The racket that you guys are talking about is selling in HK as well. The O3 white with the 12 pt and 6 pt painted in pink. But it is called O3 White XF. It is slightly different from the O3, but it looks identical to the racket that Maria is using (with the 12 pt and 6pt painted pink, and Maria's autograph).
BUT. The racket that Sharapova is O3 white, not the O3 WhiteXF. (although the 12pt and 6pt is painted in pink). When she came to HK and play in the Hong Kong Watsons Water Challenge 2007 this year, I have had a 'feel' of her racket and took some photo of it (because I know the stringer quite well, so he offered me a chance to look at her racket when he was stringing the others.) Anyway, it doesnt matter how I get in touch with her racket, what matter is I can surely tell you guys that her racket is being customised, and is nowhere near the retail version(O3 white)... Although they both have the O3 holes... The writing of her racket is totally in differenct place of the racket... the butt cap is different, her racket doesnt show the statistics of the racket (e.g swing weight, length, etc), and also there is an autograph on her racket.

OK nice info. But maria's racket is midsize version that is extended length. this midsize said it is standard length. how do you explain that?

its the breast cancer awareness version (which is why its got the pink at the top and bottom, well thats what i read here...) of the o3 white, it was sold in japan. its got the custom 18x19 string pattern and weight and stuff customized to her liking
