Mirka Federer. 40s vs. 20s?

Do you prefer Mirka in her 20s or 40s?

Ehh. Something was always "weird" about them. Reminds me more of "Trump marriage' aka... A business transaction. Fed had that hot snowboarder chick all over him. 10x hotter than Mirka. Mirka seems more like his financial adviser than a wife looking at the marriage over the years. I think Mirka aged well though.. Shes looks better now I think than she did

Peak Mirka was better than Raducanu and most of today’s tour tbh. She was top 75 in a strong era, imagine what she’d do in today’s weak era

Maybe it's because I'm older, but I think 40s Mirka is hot as hades.

Many people have dragged on her as if Mirka wasn't good enough for Roger. I was in Indian Wells some years back where I saw Mirka sitting on the bench on a practice court while Roger was hitting. This was after she had the first set of twins and was carrying some extra Momma weight. Nearby, I overheard some young skinny SoCal blondes talking about how Mirka was "gross" and that they couldn't understand why he married her. I was just shaking my head at how stupid and shallow they were. Mirka was a world class athlete, a top 75 tennis player, and an Olympian. More importantly, she's super smart and ultimately loyal. And on top of that, she's classy and gorgeous. Without a doubt, she's definitely Roger's better half and he would be no where as successful on the court or off of it without her. And it's a credit to Fed that he recognized her value and has been a loyal husband and family man (as far as we know). He's a lucky guy!

All the big 3 have been in stable relationships going for "regulars" rather than the common athlete preference of models and actresses, like sampras, roddick and earlier on agassi did. It's another departure from the mould, in addition to being sort of friendly with each other. Remains to be seen if the next gen of sincaraz trends that way.

Mirka seems to have really helped on the career and business side which federer is quotes to appreciate. She doesn't seem the dressy model type but maybe the hot dumb blonde model type can get boring too, or so it's said.

She has not looked as good as she looked last night since she was playing. She probably looks even better now than she did then. Crazy. Roger might not have been able to get in shape the last few months but Mirka REALLY got ready for that retirement life impressively :-D

Enough footage out there showing how nerdy Fed is. He's not some smooth operator or players by any stretch with the ladies. They've known each other from very early and Fed has been a Jerry Rice level committed athlete. Then they had two pairs of twins. It's not at all weird and makes almost too much sense. They may have more issues in coming years now that it will be just about business and kids and as they age Fed might branch out socially in his 50s. We'll see.

Lindsey Vohn. They're just both high profile pros, I'm sure an affair would be practically difficult and ultimately not worthwhile. Not everyone is Becker. McEnroe was pretty good at his peak with Tatum.

Lindsey Vonn may snowboard in her retirement for fun and giggles but she was a pure Alpine ski professional, winning four World Cup overall seasonal titles and an Olympic gold in downhill. She and fedr were linked by Lindt to promote chocolate but there is absolutely zero proof their relationship was anything but professional in nature.

smh at all the chauvinism expressed on this forum. Just because two pro athletes work together on a minor commercial project while male athlete’s wife does not appear in the project it now becomes conjecture there’s some hanky panky going on. At the time they had their high altitude hit for Lindt it was Tiger Woods that was in a 3-year relationship with the skier. Just two pro athletes with mutual respect for their accomplishments. No skeletons in the closet.

Lindsey Vonn? Skier, one of the best ever.

Lindsey gets around.

And I don't just mean on the slopes.

She's got quite a collection of world class knotches on the bed post, but I don't think Fed is one of them.

She is a tennis fan and was at the US Open this year. I know she met with Fed and the family in the past and they both posted about it on social media. I think she was with Tiger Woods at the time, but I could be wrong. It was more of a GOAT meets GOAT event, not an affair.

If it was a choice between Lindsey and Mirka, I personally would still go with Mirka. Lindsey seems fun, but is damaged goods. She may have a gold medal, but Mirka is solid gold.

I saw your post before you deleted it. I know you were probably joking, but not all wealthy people view their fellow human beings as commodities that can be bought and sold.

I can't claim that I really know Roger Federer. A few years ago, I was very lucky to meet him briefly off of the tennis court and was impressed with his demeanor. However, more importantly, I got to spend a couple hours with several members of his team. Many of them have been with him for decades, since before he was a superstar. I came away with the impression that Fed surrounds himself with high quality people and is a loyal guy. Most of them were in the stands for the last match yesterday. I could be drastically wrong, but I think Roger is genuinely a good guy as much as is humanly possible.

Yea I was mainly joking. LOL. One thing I have learned over the years is there are people who project 2 images. One behind closed doors and the other out in public. They have the art of PR crap down pact. So what you're seeing out in public is never the real person.. Only rare occassion it is.

For sure, I know what you mean. It's valid that the real person and the PR image rarely match up, but it's not always nefarious.

I am just a rank and file peon, but I occasionally get to meet wealthy celebrities and athletes behind the scenes due to my work. The one thing that has always struck me is how human they are. They usually have the same kind of aches, pains, doubts, worries, and hopes as all of us. If an athlete is dealing with a lot of drama off the court, it doesn't matter if they have money, they are still going to be miserable. In my opinion, the ones that are the happiest and most successful are the ones that keep things simple and have a quality team supporting them. (Keeping things simple includes having a great wife and not chasing skanks around behind her back. Ask Tiger about how that worked out for him!)

Interesting how there's been some media spotlight on Mirka recently, with Fed's retirement.

example: "Roger Federer wife: Meet Federer's ex-tennis player wife Mirka and why she quit the sport".

As for how Mirka looks now, I'm impressed at how she slimmed down from this past summer, as she's not going back on tour as a player, but was
able to work out with her tennis regimen to get back into that good shape.

And, am wondering if at least one of their four kids, maybe one of the daughters is going to try out for tennis as a career in the future.

Aren't the daughters teenage or close to at this point? You think we would know if they are looking like an elite tennis prospect or not.

I think you are mistaken.
Mirka never was top 75. And she didn‘t reach her best ranking ever before 2001.

This is largely a myth. A lot of Top 100 ATP pros don't show big flashes until late teens nowadays and there's always guys who come up the ladder slower. Otherwise all those Junior Slams would be a litmus for success right? Yet most of those players you never see again.

Maintaining an unnatural personality front would be tedious at the very least. Imagine a McEnroe trying that, he would totally fail . None of the big 3 have been wild like safin, gulbis etc, and the career differences reflect that. Their total discipline and commitment in both professional and personal lives is likely what it takes to attain their level of success. You probably can't have both.

Given how long his career has gone on, Federer is lucky he married a fellow tennis pro who was in a position to understand and tolerate the demands of the lifestyle

dunno if I'd go that far, but she accrued some wins over some good players during a fairly injury-shortened career... Henin, Garrigues, Smashnova

doesn't really get enough respect for her own playing abilities
