no name or pictures smhEhh. Something was always "weird" about them. Reminds me more of "Trump marriage' aka... A business transaction. Fed had that hot snowboarder chick all over him. 10x hotter than Mirka. Mirka seems more like his financial adviser than a wife looking at the marriage over the years. I think Mirka aged well though.. Shes looks better now I think than she did
Who?hot snowboarder chick
Maybe it's because I'm older, but I think 40s Mirka is hot as hades.
Many people have dragged on her as if Mirka wasn't good enough for Roger. I was in Indian Wells some years back where I saw Mirka sitting on the bench on a practice court while Roger was hitting. This was after she had the first set of twins and was carrying some extra Momma weight. Nearby, I overheard some young skinny SoCal blondes talking about how Mirka was "gross" and that they couldn't understand why he married her. I was just shaking my head at how stupid and shallow they were. Mirka was a world class athlete, a top 75 tennis player, and an Olympian. More importantly, she's super smart and ultimately loyal. And on top of that, she's classy and gorgeous. Without a doubt, she's definitely Roger's better half and he would be no where as successful on the court or off of it without her. And it's a credit to Fed that he recognized her value and has been a loyal husband and family man (as far as we know). He's a lucky guy!

Not sure about that.I think Mirka aged well though..
Lindsey Vonn? Skier, one of the best ever.Ehh. Something was always "weird" about them. Reminds me more of "Trump marriage' aka... A business transaction. Goat on many levels, isn't she?Oh yea baby... That one
Roger and Mirka have been together since the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Therefore, Roger knows that Mirka loved him before he became the worldwide superstar.Ehh. Something was always "weird" about them. I saw your post before you deleted it. I know you were probably joking, but not all wealthy people view their fellow human beings as commodities that can be bought and sold.
I can't claim that I really know Roger Federer. A few years ago, I was very lucky to meet him briefly off of the tennis court and was impressed with his demeanor. However, more importantly, I got to spend a couple hours with several members of his team. Many of them have been with him for decades, since before he was a superstar. I came away with the impression that Fed surrounds himself with high quality people and is a loyal guy. Most of them were in the stands for the last match yesterday. I could be drastically wrong, but I think Roger is genuinely a good guy as much as is humanly possible.
Yea I was mainly joking. LOL. One thing I have learned over the years is there are people who project 2 images. One behind closed doors and the other out in public. They have the art of PR crap down pact. So what you're seeing out in public is never the real person.. Only rare occassion it is.
Lindsey Vonn? Skier, one of the best ever.
He probably did.Classless.
The Maestro avoided a bullet here.
Interview made that pretty clear.@Sampras-Bruguera 1993

Are you trolling dude?
I'd pay to read this written in your native language.I love this place. Some really scarred people/unusually special p’s os here. Haha, don’t stop posting, doood!
Aren't the daughters teenage or close to at this point? You think we would know if they are looking like an elite tennis prospect or not.Interesting how there's been some media spotlight on Mirka recently, with Fed's retirement.
example: "Roger Federer wife: Meet Federer's ex-tennis player wife Mirka and why she quit the sport".
As for how Mirka looks now, I'm impressed at how she slimmed down from this past summer, as she's not going back on tour as a player, but was
able to work out with her tennis regimen to get back into that good shape.
And, am wondering if at least one of their four kids, maybe one of the daughters is going to try out for tennis as a career in the future.
Peak Mirka was better than Raducanu and most of today’s tour tbh. She was top 75 in a strong era, imagine what she’d do in today’s weak era

Maintaining an unnatural personality front would be tedious at the very least. Imagine a McEnroe trying that, he would totally fail . None of the big 3 have been wild like safin, gulbis etc, and the career differences reflect that. Their total discipline and commitment in both professional and personal lives is likely what it takes to attain their level of success. You probably can't have both. For sure, I know what you mean. It's valid that the real person and the PR image rarely match up, but it's not always nefarious.
I am just a rank and file peon, but I occasionally get to meet wealthy celebrities and athletes behind the scenes due to my work. The one thing that has always struck me is how human they are. They usually have the same kind of aches, pains, doubts, worries, and hopes as all of us. If an athlete is dealing with a lot of drama off the court, it doesn't matter if they have money, they are still going to be miserable. In my opinion, the ones that are the happiest and most successful are the ones that keep things simple and have a quality team supporting them. (Keeping things simple includes having a great wife and not chasing skanks around behind her back. Ask Tiger about how that worked out for him!)
TILThis is largely a myth. A lot of Top 100 ATP pros don't show big flashes until late teens nowadays and there's always guys who come up the ladder slower. Otherwise all those Junior Slams would be a litmus for success right? Yet most of those players you never see again.
dunno if I'd go that far, but she accrued some wins over some good players during a fairly injury-shortened career... Henin, Garrigues, SmashnovaPeak Mirka was better than Raducanu and most of today’s tour tbh. She was top 75 in a strong era, imagine what she’d do in today’s weak era
The Fedocalypse hath come. These are the kinds of trash threads we'll be getting now on Former Pro Player Talk.
