Most powerful LIGHT, THIN BEAMED "Player's" stick?

Looking for a racket in the high 10 oz/low 11 oz weight class that is has a thin beam (20 mm. or less) but with the right 17 guage string, has the most pop?

I was thinking maybe it's the new PowerBridge Volkl DNX Light with the 19 mm beam. It has a swingweight of around 312-which is perfect for me. Not looking for a 11.8 oz stick and above as I can't handle the weight as well anymore and need something more maneuverable.

Is the PB Volkl 10 DNX Light better than Becker 11 Light? They have similar specs. How is it different than regular Pro Storm (same sq. inch and weight) but with thinner beam and the Power Bridge technology? Thanks for thoughts!!

I have not seen any 17-19 mm racquets that are less than 11.5 oz

There are few thin beamed racquets.
The only 17 mm currently is KPS88 - 12.8 oz
The only 18 mm currently is K90 - 12.6 oz
There are some 19 mm racquets (volkl, BB, Donnay) but they are all atleast 12 oz..

The lowest weight possible for thin beams may be constrained by physics/technology (which I have no idea about :) )

Aerostorm 2008 goes from 19-21mm. It's real thin, I held one at the shop and should have the demo soon. It also weighs 11.4 oz strung.

I am interested in it myself because it also has an open 16x20 pattern.

The one I mentioned-the Volkl Power Bridge DNX 10 Light is 10.9 oz (or 11 oz. depending on whom is rating it). It's a lighter version of the PB DNX 10 but has the same beam width of 19 mm.

I was thinking this racket might be awesome due to the PowerBridge technology. It's swingweight of 312 or so is perfect. Thoughts?

I used to use the old Volkl 10 tour, which had a 20 mm beam, a higher swingweight of around 322 and it weighed 11.7 oz. I loved that stick but wanted something a tad lighter. Is this a better version and more powerful version of the old 10 Tour?

It's one mm wider at 21, but the LM rad midplus fits your specs in all other ways. 11.2 strung, great pop, nice control and great feel. Plays like a thinner beamed frame.

I'd say that's the lightest player's frame you'll find. With such a thin beam and low static weight... it's got to have zero power.

Prince Diablo Midplus is 11.3oz / 7pts HL / 316 SW / 100sqin / 19mm beam

The SW and Weight are a bit anemic for a "player's" stick, but a little lead can fix that.

The lighter frames will tend to be thicker/stiffer to counter the deficiency in mass. The "light" versions of player frames are intended for the purpose of customization to individual preferences. Playing the light versions of player frames in stock form against higher level players may leave one longing for more mass.

I'd like some feedback. Is this true? Couldn't a higher skilled 5.0 player generate some good "pop" with this stick? Doesn't the DNX and PowerBridge technology provide good power with the right swing speed and right string set-up?

I'll just comment on the bolded part....

A "technology" is not going to "provide power" no matter what the swing speed or string setup. In the immortal words: "Don't believe the hype." (who originally said that, anyway? Gotta check that....)

I know a lot of teach pros that like the Wilson kTour as a lighter, lower powered racquet, but that is a 22mm beam.

To answer your questions:

I used a dnx10 mp light--it had no power.
I would also like to find the racket you propose.
The dunlop 4d 300 tour and 200 16 by 19
are good ones. Also the prince ozone tour comes close as well.
Perhaps also the radical mp.

I liked the Dunlop 4d 300 better, mostly for the 16x19 pattern and the ability to customize.

But I know what you mean about a thin beam. I was playing with a prince ozone tour for a while that had an 18mm beam. It was the best volleying stick I've ever tried, able to carve out shots like a dream.

a gamma g310 is 11.4 strung. With a good multi or gut it is powerful. It is also cheap. (60 i think) 19mm beam.

For me the cheap option is definitely an LM Radical. Good all round stick for what you are looking for.

If however you want to get exactly this stick, then go Vantage. You can get a 19mm beam with a 70RA and a 100' head which should provide some decent power and get it as light as you want within reason but also tweak the balance to get some of that limited weight behind the head. Recommended

Cheers, Orig
