Plus he doesn't even need to improve, because if that Barcelona Final was held at Roland Garros there is no doubt in my mind Nadal would have won that 6-4 6-4 or better.
Nadal's confidence level is just far greater at Roland Garros, and the court dimensions are more favorable too.
Plus throw in the other factor, Tsitsipas has less self-belief at slams (even at the AO, Tsitsipas almost lost serve in the last game of their QF match).
This match proved that Nadal can serve double-faults at the worst times, and still beat Tsitsipas (and very nearly won it 64 64).

Also Wimbledon is getting easier each year as Djokovic and Federer decline more and more, and Nadal only lost 10-8 5th Set to Djokovic at 2018 Wimbledon.
He'll probably win a lot more titles per year in his 40s, because he may retire from hardcourt and just focus on clay and Wimbledon, so he'll play South American swing and Hamburg etc.

Truly insane record. I guess Novak and Fed cannot say the same about hardcourts vs Nadal.
Nadal has to dominated his best surface more than they have dominated their best.

The problem for the tour is that Tsitsipas at his very best full of confidence 13 years younger could not beat a sluggish very average Rafa. Meanwhile Djokovic was getting beat by a far inferior player in his home tournament he was desperate to win given his brother runs it.
Thiem is struggling. Rublev struggled against a Rafa at 25 pct. Rafa not even 60 pct in Barcelona.
If he hits 90 pct in Paris which lets be honest is the time to do it and even there only from QF onwards he is not losing a set. And right now it looks to me if Rafa actually gets some form he could well win W and USO as it looks to me as if his best is leagues ahead of the rest. Including Djokovic who actually looks in decline his BHDTL seems a thing of the past.

The president, CEO and Marketing Director of the manufacturer travelled to Manacor to hand the bike over to Rafa at his academy.

The whole concept of GOAT doesn't make any sense. Because you are comparing players in different era.
It's like saying Federer is better than Sampras on grass or Nadal is better than Borg on clay. We don't know because they never played in their primes plus the game evolves.
However, we can have the most successful player of this era in terms of titles and slams. It remains to be seen who out of Nadal, Novak and Fed will be that.

Nadal is not a clay court specialist and Djokovic is not a hardcourt specialist.
We don't cherry pick slams on hardcourts. Across hardcourts, Novak and Fed have more than Nadal - just as Nadal has won more than them on clay.
Even if we remove all of Nadal's clay slams, he still has a hall of fame career outside clay.
That being said, I feel that Nadal has underperformed on grass. His 2 Wimbledons is not a reflection of his quality on grass. He should have won more Wimb titles, not least the 2018 title.

Who knows clay better than anyone else in the history of tennis? Nadal.
That is why Nadal is a clay court specialist.
Nadal is also one of the most versatile all-surface players in the history of tennis.
Nadal and Wilander are the only men ever to win multiple slams on clay, grass and hardcourt.
And of course Nadal has the Career Grand Slam, and very nearly the Double Career Grand Slam.
Djokovic is an Australian Open specialist.....because I guess he can't be a hardcourt specialist.....because he hasn't dominated the US Open.
