Tom, I’ve never understood the thread title. What does Carrington mean?
The Dynasty TV family name...patriarch was oil tycoon Blake Carrington (John Forsythe); also featured were his lovely wife Krystie (Linda Evans), children with various life issues and his wicked ex-wife Alexis (Joan Collins), who remarried into the rival Colby oil family.

A little before your time?

I never watched it. I think the lineup was Dukes of Hazard, Dallas, Dynasty. I watched Dukes, mom watched Dallas, but Dynasty was too trashy for her.

I still don’t get the reference really though.

GSW is the NBA version of the Carringtons on Dynasty, now having made their 5th straight Finals. Lots of melodrama in their path through the season. The rest of the association are the collective Colbys, trying to compete but always falling short.

Cheering for the Raptors, but I honestly don't think they'll beat the Bucks. You get the feeling Kawhi is running on fumes so unless the bench and the other starters can come up huge in the next 2-3 games the Bucks are going to win. It also feels like it doesn't matter one bit who wins this series.

The Raps have a chance in this series if they can keep playing great defence though. This is the best defence the Raptors have ever had IMO.
This is the best team the Raps have ever had overall. If someone told me 4-5 years ago that they'd one day have Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green, Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, Marc Gasol, Linsanity, a second unit known as the "bench mob," and one of the league's up-and-coming stars that we wouldn't have known at the time (Siakam) all on Toronto, I would've thought they lost it between the ears

Vanvleet is stepping up. That guy and Kawhi are heated up at the same time. Raptors may take this one.

The Bucks have really lost something. I don't know if either of these teams can beat the Warriors (w/o Durant) anymore. Especially since Kawhi has a hurt quad. That is the main reason, as I think of Kawhi as a Warriors killer.

Is Giannis hurt now? Both Kawhi and Giannis? Will the warriors win 5th one next year?

T-dot will be re-drake-ulous this weekend if the Raptors can close this out in Game 6.

Budenholzer will have to earn that COY to stop the 3-game bleed when his squad had lost twice in a row just once all year. From 18-4 to 99-105 and it was the Dino’s bench coming to the rescue, 35-15 on FVV’s sharpshooter output. Somehow, the Bucks must find a way for Middleton and Brogdon to finally connect in the same game.

Bledsoe was terrible all night while VV made some big shots.
Kawhi showed his quality and experience while Giannis was little helped with the exception of Brogdon.
Huuuge two blocks from Pascal in clutch time. This kid has heart.

This is it for the Raptors. Can't get too excited. Still need to close it in 6 or they'll lose it in 7 IMO. BUT they have the Bucks rattled. All of them including the coach are talking about Drake and not focusing on the task at hand. That's a win for Drake, as much as I think his antics are ridiculous, they're working. And the Raptors have much more playoff experience with Kawhi, Lowry, Ibaka, and Gasol on their team. The Bucks are young and I think they're feeling the heat now, and even when the Raps tied the series at 2. I think the Raptors finish this on Saturday night.

What is Green's problem? I really don't understand.
He was making 45% of his 3p attempts during regular season which is a ridiculous rate.

Drake is taking matters into his own hands to reverse the curse.

Edit: Just realized how stupid that sounds

Would be a pretty good line in a rap song tbh.

DRAKE-is TAK-ing
MATT-ers IN-to HIS own HANDS-to (to pronounced like soot)
reVERSE the (pronounced as thee) CURSE

Maybe not enough minutes? I find that guy to be so pesky when I'm rooting for the other team.
He is shooting about 21% from three against Raptors and 30% in post-season (39% FG overall). But yes the grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence.

The KT snub just cost him $31million in supermax contract money. Ouch!

"We're not gonna fold," Antetokounmpo vowed, cutting off the question. "We're the best team in the league. We're gonna go in, give it everything we got. We can't fold. We're gonna come back to Milwaukee being pissed. If we lose we lose . . .''

Is he being prudent or showing a lack of poise and confidence?

At least he is not accepting his team's fate

Hopefully Kawhi just shut Skip Bayless up by icing the game with two free throws. Of course, Skip will find something to complain about.
