Great find - I'm not the poster but his description brought this pic to mind and you found it. I'm thinking October or November 1986 issue of Tennis or World Tennis mag - Agassi's "coming out" was the August 1986 Stratton, VT tournament, so allowing for publishing lag your looking at a mag issue from that fall.

Now that you mention it, I had both magazine subscriptions. I am still perplexed what year it is. That SI article was 87, so I am now thinking 1986 and in Tennis World magazine.
I became an instant fan of Agassi. The hair, the flair on the court and the way he punished his FH. I know there were some heavy hitters by then, but none too the ball like Andre. I loved the guy. In fact, I hated Sampras after the 90 USO until the 92 USO when he lost to Stefan. I became a fan of both at that point. I simply liked Pete's game and his coolness on the court. it was actually easy to like both players because they were so different. However, once they played I was an Agassi fan (except 02 USO).
Brings back 86..Max 200g, Lendl Supremes, Rebbok shirts (I got em cheap) and a killer FH with an explosive temper (got suspended at least 1 match every year of my career). Wish I still had that FH. I blame Roddick for losing it.:evil:
