Hi,

I'm kind of new player, didn't play for lots of years...
I'm considering buying one of the 3 racquets and need some advice:
Head YOUTEK Radical Pro
Head YOUTEK Radical Midplus
Babolat Pure Storm GT – 2009

Which one I should go for?

Thanks,
Alon

I would strongly consider testing a few first if you can, so you can at least find the weight and head size that you feel most comfortable with.

I made the mistake of ditching my 350g racket, thinking I needed to go lighter, switched to a 290g and now my whole upper body is in trauma after two matches yesterday and having to swing like a lunatic to get sufficient power.

I should have done the sensible thing and demo'd a few rackets first, so thats my advice :)

Honestly, I don't think any of these racquets would be good for someone just starting out. They headsize and weight might be too much of a challenge. That is not to say that a beginner can't use a control racquet, but that I would recommend getting a racquet that is 102-110 sq. in. depending on your hand-eye coordination. Also, a racquet that is neutral balance or headlight but that is over 10.4 oz strung with a lower swing weight and medium flex can be a very good racquet for someone who is athletic but is new to the game. In these cases, I tend to recommend something like the Wilson BLX Blade Team or Head Youtek Radical Oversize. Get 4 demos and try them before buying. The larger head-size but the control of the frame will make it a good racquet to grow into.
