One of the worst reffed games I’ve ever watched. No call on the intentional grounding by Jimmy G at the end of the half (would’ve resulted in a 10 second run off and no TD), the no call on Adams getting laid out, and the roughing the passer by Jaire were so bad. Thank god Godgers, Adams, and Crosby came through again.

The pass interference on Stokes too. Would have been 4th and about 15 at the Niners own 15 if that flag wasn't thrown (so no way they go for it). With a little over ten or eleven minutes to play and the Packers already up 10. That and the intentional grounding are really the only reason that game was so close. They have to punt there and at the very least the Packers take a few minutes off of the clock if not bury the game completely. All the momentum was on their side up until that 30+ yard penalty. An excellent win though. A very good response after a beyond alarming first game in all facets. Hopefully keep it up against Pittsburgh who is trending in the wrong direction at the moment.

Let's also not forget SF snapped the ball with 12 seconds left on the play clock when they scored. Still had all their TOs, so they easily could have run it down further. Oops.

To me it kind of looked like Juszczyk wanted to fall down short but momentum carried him in (only going off of memory though here).

Though I have seen the Seahawks do that 1 yard line strategy and have it backfire. But with timeouts and the Packers problems stopping Trey Lance from that distance I agree with you...you take that risk. Certainly beats the risk of giving Rodgers the ball back.

Officiating aside it was an excellent game. The 49ers did have a lot of timely clutch plays. Both teams have quite a few injuries so a rematch in the playoffs would look quite different. Right now the NFC looks stacked. Seeding will be important

Kyler may have something to say about that, 10 total TDs to 6.

I assume you’re a Broncos’ fan? That Giants/Jags/Jets start is about as friendly as possible, but 3-0 is 3-0.
I can definitely see the MVP race coming down to Carr, Murray and Stafford. And I'm sure some of the usual suspects like Brady end Rodgers will be in the conversation later in the year. I think this season is shaping up to be really interesting

I'm actually a Texans fan. I lived in the Houston area as a child when the Texans became a franchise, so I've been a fan since their inception. It's been a painful experience lol

TLaw will be fine once Urban quits. Wilson too, he’s passed the eye test for me. You can see the arm talent in both guys I’m not worried. Wilson has also had three tough matchups to start. Fields got thrown to the wolves and Nagy is a terrible coach. Not ready to write him off yet. Jones looks like a game manager with an extremely low ceiling. Lance hasn’t played yet but I’m not a fan of his tape.
I pretty much agree with everything you said except I was never high on Wilson. He could be good, but we might not find out because the Jets are an absolute mess. It doesn't matter who the coach or the qb is

Tom Brady wins in his first game back in New England. Mac Jones showed a lot of promise tonight despite the loss. An uncharacteristically poor decision by Belichick to attempt a 56 yard field goal in pouring rain inside of going for it on 4th & 3

Somewhat quarterly (23.53% is the official fraction) report:

NFC

Best: Arizona. Murray has his choice of targets (Green is the new red!). He’s protected decently and elusive when he needs to be. On defense, Chandler Jones reminds me of Lawrence Taylor when he redlines. J.J. Watt landed softly in The Valley.

LA Rams got the big W vs BradyGOATs and then bit the cheese but they are right there after 4 games.

Likewise, after the Week 1 debacle, AaronGOAT is in a happy place. Their super soft division will make it quite possible to beat last year’s 13 wins.

Dallas can now be spelled properly because there is indeed “D” in North Texas. Dak is all the way back and that ultra soft division is butter. They play into January and may contend for that exclusive 1R bye.

Tampa won last year from behind but they were virtually injury free after O.J. Howard tore an ACL. Two deep at his position with a Gronk and they hardly missed a beat. They will have to fight from behind this year too but with injuries.

Carolina will fight the Bucs for the division. New Orleans can also chisel at a weak spot when Can’t Guard Mike returns.

Division winners: LA Rams, Tampa, GB, Dallas (Dallas bye)

Wild cards: Arizona, Carolina and a UUUGGGEEE fight between SF and Seattle.

AFC

Buffalo righted course after opening day loss and will dominate a feeble AFC East. Neither rookie QB will get their squads even close to double digits wins. Tua is an injured person trying to play QB. Bills Mafia by default.

Tennessee needs to hire a hydration specialist because they just gave away a game with two All Pro level WRs out with hamstrings. Maybe Vrabel can get everybody to buy in on the six other days before Game Day mean just as much as Sunday. If so they win AFC South by default. Carson Wentz is guest lecturer at the Tua School of Next Injury Beyond The Horizon. I won’t mention the other two semipro teams in the division.

AFC North is going to be a Dawg fight among the Brownies, Baltimore and Cincinnati. Cleveland should rule if Baker shuts down the Progressive ads and plays football. The guy has been horrible the last two games.

AFC West is too stacked. I really could see three playoff teams with LAC winning the division despite playing on the road every week. So sad they couldn’t get a stadium of their own in SD. Because of that, I predict:

AFC West winner Kansas City
AFC South: Tennessee
AFC North: Cleveland
AFC East: Buffalo (1R Bye)

Wild Cards: Baltimore, LAC, Las Vegas, Cincinnati

See ya after Week 8

The Urban Meyer experiment has been a spectacular failure. Will he be the Jaguars coach next week?
Who would want that turd post? Jax owner Shad Khan has the balls to park his UUUGGGEEE yacht on the river near the stadium while at the same time charging season tickets holders at a 8 game rate but sending Jags to London for the eighth game. He desperately wants the London based franchise awarded to him and most of North FL fans would be happy if he leaves. Browns fans used to decry their building as The Factory of Sadness. That’s not the case so let’s call the Gator Bowl by its right name.

Shad Khan definitely does not get enough recognition for being one of the worst owners in the league

My Bears wasted time with Dalton again. How many games are they going to stick with this ex bengals, cowboys loser before starting Fields?

And the hits keep coming.

GMF on NFL Network (Greg Rosenthal?) reported minutes ago the Cowboys will be releasing LB Jaylon Smith in a cost-cutting prophylactic move, not willing to risk injury that would saddle them with roughly a $9million hit on their stretched cap.

Further reporting from Ian Rapoport (real source of above news):

NE was unable to secure a trade for former DPOY CB Stephon Gilmore so he will also be released later today.

This seems almost like a payout for a bet lost on SNF with the Tompan Bucs; GM Jason Licht will whittle enough cap space from some contracts to reunite another ex-Pat with Methuselah.

Homeward bound. He played at Columbia, about 90 miles south of Charlotte and HS ball was in his birth city of Rock Hill SC, 30 miles from Charlotte.

Time to get happy, T1K and F&DP. Jaylon Smith deal with the Packers will be official tomorrow, according to RapSheet on Twitter three hours ago.

Aaron Donald is known to break throwing fingers of future HOFers, especially if the superstar QB has a Miami metro area high school phenom/exJet as backup. Drew Brees gave way to Teddy Bridgewater, who had a cup of coffee in Gotham in 2018 preseason. Now, RW3 has been dinged and gave way to Geno Smith. Miramar HS (Smith) and Miami Northwestern (Bridgewater) have nearly a dozen active alums in the NFL.

Eerie coincidence or a pattern? Maybe Donald in a previous life was the Bear who broke Colt QB George Shaw’s leg in 1956 to let a Louisville grad turned UFA backup QB enter the game and never look back. His name was Johnny Unitas.

Josh Allen is just so much fun to watch. That hurdle over the linebacker in the 4th was so sick. My favorite player in the league not on the Packers.

Close. He had that horrible day vs Detroit 3 years ago and there were 5 missed kicks (4 FGs and a XP). No happy ending that day.

I had Crosby in fantasy and lost by two that day. The lowest points a field goal can give you in fantasy is three so he makes just one of those and I win. Also Cowboys Texans played Sunday night and my opponent had Fairburn, the Texans kicker. Dallas missed a fg in OT, it was like 55 yards, so Houston had great field position with little time left and were able to get the 20ish yards to get the game winning and fantasy winning field goal

I hope that I am wrong, but it looks like another overhyped season brought to you by the most overrated head coach in history. The only difference is that it appears to be an earlier season collapse from Chucky.

Still a whole lot of football to be played so it may not be the beginning of the end. Hope remains eternal. RN4L!
