Problem with Kyrigos is that we'll never know how sincere he really is, or if he just sees these very public acts of charitable behaviour as a way to rehabilitate his terrible image with people.
It's pretty common for public figures who are considered terrible people to use public acts of charity as a way to fix their image. Sean Penn bringing along a camera crew to watch him "save" people in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina is a classic example of that.
It would probably be more effective for Kyrigos if he used his resources or money to help people in a low-key way, and it later came out that he helped people. Unfortunately, even if he is sincere, the way he goes about it feels self-serving because of his image problems.
indeed, but same problem lies with many internet warriors, that bash celebrities, yet we don't know if they do at least something to help the community they live in.
so, a celebrity that does something, even if it is for image repair, is still better than internet warriors that do nothing else than bash all celebrities, those who really help and those who help to repair their image.
