Played First Tournament of 2020 last night, Fed'ed the match

Ugh, I played a very well paired match in our local city tournament last night. I served first and was broken, and didn't break back until 4-5. We tied the set 6-6 and I eventually lost the tiebreak 7-6(5). Second set I won 4-6 which took us into a third set tiebreak as per tournament rules.

I lost the tiebreak 7-2. In such an evenly paired match, I lost both mentally during tiebreaks.

Before I get bashed for the Fed comment, fed is also one of my favorite players, but it is what it is. How are you guys doing?

The ATP website had an article 2 years ago stating that Fed is a ‘TB titan’ as he not only had won the most TBs (432 at that time), but had the highest winning % (>65) of all pros in his career. #2 was Novak at about 63%. So, losing TBs to Novak at the age of 38 does not make Fed a bad TB player. I assume that he still has the best winning TB % in his career. I’ve seen Fed win many TBs against Novak in earlier matches where that was the only way he could win sets and prolong matches when Novak is in prime form.

Felt like it. It's a bit of a Joke to compare this to Fed, mainly b/c the arguably the greatest player of all time.

But even though, it sucked to lose to a 20yo at the age of 36. Gotta show those young kids something

You're correct, it's really a joke. It's dumb for any rec player to compare anything they do to the greatest player of all time.
