Volkl leather grips are effectively gone and they were excellent leather grips. I have not checked recently but there may be one e-tailer that has them at an inflated price.

I'm pretty sure the Volkl leather grips are heavier than other leather grips.

I wonder why Volkl quit making them.

The Fairway is the BEST. But I'm not sure if they're still in business...

Generally:

1.7mm will increase size.
1.5mm will maintain size.
1.3mm will decrease size.

I am looking for a leather that will not increase grip size...I tried the babolat leather (1.7mm thickness) and found my grip size was too big when using an overgrip.....Is the TW 1.3mm leather, thinner then a standard replacement grip??

I have played with leather grips (without an overgrip) since back in the early 90's. Fairway has always been, in my opinion, the best available.

Since Fairway have more or less gone away, I prefer the Tennis Warehouse private label ones. I've tried:

Pro Kennex (good, but can't buy anymore)
Babolat (didn't care for, too slippery for me)
Wilson (good)
Luxilon (great grip, but can't buy anymore)

have had good sucess with babolat, pacific and pro supex leather grips.. i stick with pro supex because of the price

Of the ones that I have tried, I like TW 1.5mm...I haven't tried Fairway, but I have tried many of the others. I have recently started playing with just leather and no overgrip. It's my favorite of the leathers...
