Poly Playoff!

I just ordered the following polys from TW and I will be testing them to see for myself which is the best poly! I will be stringing all the polys in the crosses and using Gamma Professional in the mains.

Gamma Zo Twist 16 String Natural

MSV Focus Hex 17L (1.18) String Red

Signum Pro Plasma HEXtreme16L Pure String

Signum Pro Poly-Speed Spin 16 (1.28)

Tecnifibre Black Code 17 String

I currently have these polys in my racquets:

X: Tecnifibre Black Code 16/ M: Wilson Natural Gut 15L

X: Kirschbaum Pro Line II 16/ M: Gamma Professional 16

So far the black code feels the best, however it is in a hybrid with natural gut, which is probably giving it an unfair advantage! From now on I will solely be using Gamma Professional in the mains to accurately test these polys.

The theme of this thread exhibits alluring alliteration :)

I'm curious about PLII... too :)

Very excited about your review as I am testing MSV Focus Hex 17L and SPPP 17 at the moment, but hybrid with Technifibre X-1 Biphase.

The Kirschbaum Pro Line II 16 plays crisp and gives a lot of control, however I feel I get better ball bite and spin production with the Black Code 16. The ball seems to stay on the strings longer with the Black Code as well.

The other polys should be coming today from TW.

Bud, you must be well spoken judging by your keen observation! I actually had to look up the word "alliteration" to fully appreciate your comment.

Similar results..........

The results that we got from the string group you listed are very similar. The order that we listed them in was:
  1. Tec Black Code
  2. Kirsch PLII
  3. MSV Focus
  4. Signum PP Hex

Cheers, TennezSport

I just strung my MG Prestige with the following:

Main: Tecnifibre X-One Biphase 17 Red @ 58 Pounds

Cross: MSV Focus Hex 17L Red @ 52.2 Pounds

This is my favorite set up so far, I actually prefer it over the Black Code and Natural Gut Blend! I get really great spin and feel with this blend, plus the all red setup looks great as well.
