practice racket different from regular racket?

I use a wilson k pro tour. I have a wilson performer tennis racket - it's similar to a k90, except about 30 years older. Because the performer is more demanding and heavy, I will have to work more on my footwork, timing, and focus. Would using a racket with different specs really affect me significantly? I personally don't think it would matter, but I'm trying to get other opinions

you should practice and play with the same racket, its part of developing consistency in your shots.

I've heard of people using different rackets for service games and receiving games in matches though.

Why? Use whichever one you play better with and simply grow with it. Don't mess up your game by switching back and forth.

You can try using the "more demanding" racket for a few sets/tie-breaks and see if you can still win them by playing a more finesse-type game. Careful though, you might end up liking the racket more - the "more demanding" sticks have distinct advantages as you get better.
