Prince Phantom 100x 305 vs Wilson nPro Open (reissue)

Among Prince Phantom 100x 305 vs Wilson nPro Open (reissue), which one do you recommend ?

stiffness : nPro - 67 ; Phantom - 58
SW : nPro - 325 ; Phantom - 321

do they both play same ? spin, power, control ?

I currently have nPro. And, with nPro my elbow was hurting so I changed to multifilament string and lil better now, but any other changes do you all recommend to make nPro more comfort wise ? So, checking to see if I need to get phantom incase its way better or both just close enough ?

Please advise. Thanks !!

The Phantom is one of the softest racquets you can buy today. Very comfortable. Will be lower on power on the Phantom than the nPro but most people have trouble keeping the ball in the court so that metric is quite meaningless.

The nPro is a little widebody design, the prince is a precision mid power tennis racquet. The Prince looks considerably better as well.

If you really want something closer to the nPro the Prince Beast will be closer...

SPIN : 100X
POWER : nPro
CONTROL : 100X
ARM HEALTH : 100X (most critical due to what you mentioned about your issues)
LOOKS : 100X
QUALITY CONTROL : 100X

Winner : 100X

I am a Prince Fanboy (they have the classic feel updated for modern game) but I have multiple Wilson frames (mostly older softer models based around the BLX Envy that I weigh up) . I would never play with anything greater than 63 RA myself....

Wilson has atrocious quality control and I find there cheap reissues quite different in feel to originals... They just have the same look and paint job mostly.

I used to own an nPro Open and demoed the Phantom. You are comparing apples and oranges. Stiff and powerful vs. flexy and spinny. I loved the Phantom and plan on getting one eventually, but playing with it is a whole different experience than the Open.

Frames that play like the Open but are more arm friendly include the Wilson Clash 100 and Clash Tour, Prince Tour 100 (310), Head Speed 360+ MP, Head Extreme 360+ MP, and Yonex Ezone 100.

The Clashes are the place to start if you’re wanting a whole lot more arm comfort. If all these frames are still too stiff, then the Phantom would be in the next group to look at of softer frames.

If you are looking at a Clash, I would also consider the Prince 100X 290.
