Prince XC Tour

I've had limited experience with this string (used two sets for night sessions) and found them to be decently powerful polys with decent control. I know better than to throw my eggs into any basket, but the time has come to invest in string to carry me through the summer. So here's the question: should I stick to strings I have a history with (Tourna Premium Poly, Volkl Cyclone, LXN Savage Black) or should I buy XC Tour in a reel and lock myself into this string for 3-4 months?

If you liked the XC tour, go with it. Basically as a tennis player ( who do not receive strings for free), we are trying to find the best string that suits our game at a great value. I know people who are changing strings every week, racquets every year, trying to find a magically solution to make them a better player. Reels are a good investment, since it makes it cheaper in the long run. I am curious to try the XC Tour. I would get the LXN Savage. It is a great string, and you can find reels for cheap.

Thanks Blue. As it stands I'd like nothing more than for my curiosity to take a back seat to me playing with Tourna Premium Poly, but sadly it won't. Luckily a work buddy of mine can get his hands on Prince products for prices cheaper than what us average humans can. Looks like XC Tour will be my new summer string.

Carlosoki: What did you string this racquet at? And could you reflect on this string after playing with it for 9-10 hours?

I currently play with this string in my POG 100's and I love it. I have tried almost every brand and kind of poly on the market. This one definitely ranks up there as far as comfort, spin potential and exceptional control. Save your money on a reel and buy individual sets since they are discounted when purchasing 2 or more. The string has strong durability as well. I am a chronic string breaker FYI and I have finally found a 16L string that last more than 6 sets :)

I have this in my Prince Tour 98 ESP and find it excellent. Very good control, feel and durability
