PSTGT and PSGT Review!

Hi people of the tenniswarehouse thread! I thought for my first offical racket review why not use the racket thats in my bag? That racket happened to be the PSTGT.
Forehands: When hitting my forehands with the racket I felt I could plow threw the ball alot more with the added weight of the tour version. I demoed the other versions and the others felt too light and not enough heft ( I didn't try the limited verison because of I felt the specs did not fit my game.) With the added weight came the consequences! I couldn't generate the power I could've with the lighter version which is kinda obvious. So i strung my racket with Big Banger and that got the job done.

Backhands: My backhand is a decent shot, I sometimes jam myself with poor footwork but most of the time its pretty solid. I didn't feel much of a dif. between the rackets on my backhand.

Volley: I didn't feel the same stableness with the non tour and the tour. The tour version was very stable at net but I couldn't adjust the racket to where I wanted it because of the weight and vice versa for the lighter version.

Serve: The serve wasn't up to my regular with my previous racket ofcourse because of the weight. The lighter version felt more like my old racket because I was pushed around alot from the baseline but had a bigger serve. But with big banger my serve kicked up a few mph but still not the same.

Overall I really liked both versions and wish I could have picked both but I went with the heavier version which was the right choice. Now my question for you guys is that the tour version is giving me arm troubles! any tips?

After having tennis elbow I switched to PST-GT and softer strings and didn't have any problem since then. In general heavier racquet should be easier on the arm than lighter ones.

btw, the PST is a great racquet. The more I play with it the more I like it.
I added some weight in the handle to make them a little more head light.
My frames all weight ~340gr strung.
Thank you for your review. :)

Maybe its the luxlion :( That is a good idea to add weight to the handle maybe I might try it!

That is kinda odd... Where do you have to arm troubles?
I always had a golfers elbow but with this racket, it went away. I string it with 25kg and Black Code.

Last month I had some troubles on my shoulder, but it was of playing too much. I hope it has nothing to do with the racket, because I never have shoulder troubles. It went away with some days of rest.

And Big Banger is known for a lot of arm pain... I'm def. not playing with that string.

In my elbow, when I start to use the racket with the lux strings it starts to hurt after awhile.
