Pure Drive Team vs Pure Drive Cortex

I am curious what the opinions here on the Pure Drive Team (Model just before the Cortex version) in comparison to the Pure Drive Cortex version? I notice many players locally are still using their older version and I have seen very few of the Cortex version.

I just switched from my PDR + cortex back to a PD Team + because I wanted something lighter. The team version was less expensive and I liked the cosmetics a little better so I decided on those instead of the cortex. I didn't demo first because I play regularly and knew that switching between pure drives wouldn't be a radical change. I like the team version a lot. It feels a little more crisp at contact. You can feel more vibration upon impact also, so that may deter some. It also feels more stiff to me, not a lot, but a least a few points. I get about the same amount of control with both. I notice that my serve is better with the team version and probable due to less weight. Groundstrokes and volleys are very similiar in depth and pace. I think it you prefer a crisp sensation, go with the team version. It you want a little more comfort and muted sensation, go with the cortex. Both racquets are great.

I don't like the cortex becasue to me it seems a little "gimmicky". I play with the pd standard non/cortex.

I've never really hit with the Pure Drive. I recently decided to move away from my mids and see if I could adjust to the power and extra pop of a more powerful midplus. I think I will be trying the Team version. Now to find one, these are not as common as I thought they would be for sale right now.

I like the cortex version because the team version had absolutely no feel whatsoever. It felt like everytime I hit the ball soomething was "crawling" up my arm, it was awful. I never really liked the pure drives until they added cortex and weight(Roddick version).
