Rafa fans, what should Rafa do now?

So, obviously , its easy to start getting excited when your favourite player is back on tour, and his forms improving by the week.

But my question for fellow Rafa fans is...

Would you like to see him push it in Madrid, with the possibility of going deep?

OR

Should he be careful with his body, and maybe ease off next round ( or 2 if he makes it ) ?

Is another Masters win , albeit in his home country, worth pushing himself for? Is he even able to step off the gas a little when hes such a fierce competitor?

How would y'all like to see his prep go from here on in till RG ?

I’m sure he’s talking about it with his team? It’ll probably depend on how he feels tomorrow. I suspect it is day to day at this point.

Theoretically a bullet in the chamber for RG or the Olympics
My view is if he’s not able to finish a Masters then he has no realistic hopes at any larger tournament. Obviously take it day by day, but just playing tennis is the main goal for me.

Go deep in Madrid. Obviously he is playing at top 10 on clay level. If he seems to be getting extended then just withdraw. Forget about Rome when you are in Madrid

Nadal obviously desires to be match-tough, but he--under no circumstances--should attempt to win any events before the French Open. He is in the twilight of his career, with the door to retirement slowly opening. If he's serious about making one, final run at the French Open, he needs to treat other events as glorified practice sessions.

incorrect.

He's going to play EVERY POINT LIKE THIS:

Let him beat Medvedev in the Madrid quarterfinals and we can see another madness of the Russian octopus against the crowd.

I'll just say this from my side, I am glad he got one back on ADM in Madrid. There is a whole lot of wrong IMO with ADM winning back to back clay matches even against a near 38 year old Nadal.

The rest, for the Nadal fans to decide.
I’m glad too. Because otherwise he would’ve gone down in the history books and quite frankly doesn’t deserve to be that guy alongside Djokovic in this feat

I want him to do the same thing as he did before RG 2020. It’s far more complicated because he has detoriated physically since then. But I want him to get some miles in the legs, read nothing into his results, work his form and do just enough to convince himself that he has the ability to be insanely aggressive and pull it off on the biggest stages.

Hopefully he plays until Roland Garros 2025.

I am not Rafa fan but I think I have a helpful message-Rafa should do a hell lot of cardio and stretching, extreme stretching before and after his on court time and perhaps a large amounts of yoga; all that for the reason to avoid any injuries.

Nadal is fine, there's nothing wrong with his body, no injury. He's just cherry picking tournaments, avoiding hard courts and play the surface that suits his tennis level, clay. Opponents are being tricked into a false sense of security with his constant injury updates that are just mind games.

That's why he missed the entire clay tour last year, including RG, his favorite GS tournament.
The things you have to read sometimes.

Should he become a vegan?

By that logic, Federer was also fine, nothing wrong with his body, when he lost to Hurkacz in straight sets at Wimbledon 2021 (ironic mode on).

Fact is, Nadal is super old for a tennis player. There're no "mind games", he's simply choosing carefully what to play in order to avoid injuries. Last 2 years he almost didn't play. Nadal carefully selecting tournaments to avoid getting injured with his injury-prone body at his advanced age is not a "mind game". It's being careful. But a hater will interpret things the way he wants to.

Just probably reach QF here and rest till Paris. Go all out in Paris during RG and probably try and reach finals. Make it sort of final match of his pro life. Give everything in that and maybe get his final slam and retire.

Easier said than done. But that is how it should be
