Reaffriming one's belief in humanity

Apart from the crazy guy, this story has a silver lining. There was a thread not too long ago about a man that was hit by a car and not one of the dozen or so pedestrians went to his aid in an "appropriate" amount of time.

This story features two citizens from the other side of the spectrum. Made me smile. :D

Solano aimed a gun at an officer, police said. Two civilians then jumped into the fray and, with the officer, subdued Solano and wrestled the gun away, police said.

Side note: Why did they set a bail on this guy? I know $2 million isn't something people can come by quickly, but... really? This is probably crazy enough to just forgo setting a bail.

Yeah, glad this turned out okay, but seemed like the cop was defending his own life plus doing his job. Not to poo poo what they did, but I thought this might be a thread about people doing something that they didn't have to do at all.

Man, what a psycho. Wonder what set him off.
