Dr. Fedace: A true renaissance man!!

This is just our boy, Dr. Fedace talking out of his...again! I know he fancies himself an expert on all things, but USTA officials have a path to further their career in tennis. It doesn't include being noticed at small events, making questionable calls.

Most officials start with small events, work college matches, challengers etc. After they are proficient, they are given the opportunity to go to the next level. I would take anything Dr. Fedace says with a VERY large grain of salt.

Thanks for the support JoeyG, I know you have your grudges/issue with USTA, but the career path for officials is not a quick shot.
You have to be invited to Chair Academy' and Line Schools make sure to score high enough at both, then get an invite to the ITF schools if so chosen.
Attend USTA schools on an annual basis and work/officiate minimum number of tournaments as well as be able to chair enough ITA matches or National level events.
