The "rules" are different for players who win vs. players who lose. He's Top 10 in the world. He can be as big of a jerk as he wants to be. At least for a male player, being good and being cocky is fine. It's actually praised. He'll be fine so long as he keeps winning. But you can't be cocky and lose. And if he starts to lose, people won't forget.

For some people, this fuels them. They thrive on this pressure and environment they create.

I don't see any similarity in their demeanor at all, they're very different temperamentally. Another difference is Fabster almost never uses the fake MTO tactic Rune employs. Holger is more bratty/petulant/manipulative with his antics, Fabio has much more style when he acts up. It's like Rune is too inept to be good at antics whereas it's a high art form with Fabio.
