Greetings sailors! Except for good ship Sharapova, the once upon a time legendary Russian tennis flotilla is looking like salvage junk these days. The Belgians and Williamses and some others are fast taking control of tennis high seas. Da Zveedanya Elena, Nadia, Anastasia, Svetlana, and Vera. Clijsters yesterday treated Elena like a rusted dead in the water hull. Svetlana won the US Open?? Pinch me!
Yes, her sister ships are foundering, but the
Red October of the Russian fleet, the Sharapova, just parked itself off Florida shores. And, She poses a real threat for the foreseeable future, to what's left of America's damaged and aging Navy, as well as the rest of its NATO allies, including Belgium. As successful as her shakedown cruise has been, it seems Sharapova's full arsenal is not yet on line. And, She appears to have almost limitless weapons upgradeability into the next decade. Awesome. Unless America launches some answers from its California or Florida shipyards forthwith, the US will be relegated to a second class power in short order.
I don't think she poses a threat to France this year but may claim it as a prize in the years to come. England will probably remain under her control and then its back to Flushing Meadows in September where she will likely decimate America's tennis capital.
And the "Red October" does have a very nice.....ahem..... hull. Da?
