Ok do Safina got demolished to say the least, losing 6-1, 6-0 to Venus. Venus made ONE error the entire match. I believe in Safina's previous match she had no aces and 13 DF's. She has been to two grand slam finals and lost both to people she could have beaten. I think she is worse than Jankovic and Ivanovic?

lolz, buttrape. i mean you guys dont like constant coverage of the williams but to be honest, who would you rather see? I see the Williams as the Federer and Nadal of Women, but they are even better comparatively on the WTA, no one can beat them.

i though remember Jankovic being slightly more consistant than Safina is now. I mean Serena said that Safina deserves the no.1 but that is Bull-****

On clay there are about 50 women who can beat Venus and about 20 better than her, and on rebound ace about 30 who can beat her and about 8 better than her. However on grass and fast hard courts nobody left in todays field can beat her except Serena. So she is strange in that sense. She was never as strong on slow surfaces as fast but now she is just hopeless on slow surfaces, but more amazing than ever on fast.

On clay there are also about 10 women who can beat Serena and about 4 better than her, but on other surfaces nobody can beat her except Venus on grass and maybe Venus on a fast hard court.

No way to compare them with Fed. Fed made a few RG finals and won it this year. Wiliams sisters haven't done anything remarkable at RG recently. (They own grass and fast HC though).

And Jankovic is definitely the worst No.1.

Jankovic made 1 slam final as #1. Safina has made 1 slam final and a slam semi as #1, she's also won Madrid and Rome, 2 masters level events of the women's tour. Jankovic had one slam final and one "masters level" event win. Other than that, nothing as #1. At least Dinara's held on for longer, even if she's a phony #1.

it just goes to show you how silly it is to dwell on ranking and seeding. winning slams is really all that matters. four tournaments, the biggest stages, and the truest tests of what you're made of. it's where you see the gap between the those who are just attending the party, and those who taking pictures from over the hedge.
