Should Ferrero have won more Slams?

I look at his career and see his mission to win the French Open from 2000-2002 he got close, 2003 mission accomplished then a subsequent final at Flushing Meadows which culminated in a defeat to Andy Roddick, then a semi at the Australian Open in 2004 then that was it.

Barring 2 Quarter Final appearances at Wimbledon in 2007/2009 he really didn't progress at slams, was the French Open title the pinnacle for him at 23? was the career aim fulfilled and motivation went slightly? in 2004 he was struck with injuries where those injuries stopping him from progressing?

In 2010 he went on a great clay run winning titles left and right, his ranking moved up also. He beat Ferrer along the way which is no easy feat especially on Clay.

Could he have done more in his career as I saw him as a talent, the "New Generation" with Federer, Coria, Hewitt, Haas, Safin and Roddick, he must have been part of that.

Him reaching 2 quarters at AELTC proves how homogeneous this era´s courts are.All the very same.

Jim Courier reaching the finals of Wimbledon shows disaprity between surfaces right?

OP: Ferrero suffered from injuries from 04 and onwards. He was very talented and would have been a threat on hardcourts and clay for many years IMO. He made the semi's of the French in his first entry into the main draw!
