Given that the handle is foam filled, any suggestions for removing a slight rattle in the frame? REmove the grommets and attempt to "free" the rattle culprit that way?

Yes, If the handle is filled with foam you're only chance is to get the bugger out via the grommetsholes.
However with a bit of luck you only have to remove a small part of the bumper !

2 Minutes with Mr. Belt Saw and you'll find it no problem.

There's a good chance the trap door is just a bit loose, that was the case with 2 of my frames and when I fixed that the rattle went away, the way I fixed mine was by cutting up a business card into the shape of the trap door and just putting it in there to make everything a bit tighter, I haven't experienced any rattling since.

Hey, there's absolutely no need to cut anything here. The rattle noise caused by the butt cap is a little too large for the handle, and this problem happens a lot with Babolat racquets. To fix it, remove the staples and remove the butt cap, use the quick drying glue and apply it on the handle (on the area where the butt cap fits in) and inside the butt cap. Remember that you must use a lot of glue to fill in. Wait for a few minutes before putting the butt cap back, and then the staples. Now let it sit for at least 6 hours to make sure it's completely dry before putting back the grip. 100% the rattle will never happen again. I fixed this problem twice on my Pure Storm GT.
