Spin on serve: Full Poly versus Poly/Synthetic

I'm still trying all sorts of strings (the ones I can afford at least), and so far the best serving string I've tried (besides ALU/Nat Gut on a demo racquet I tried...yes, really) was Prince Poly Blend, which is a cheap poly main and Duraflex crosses. It had more then enough spin to put massive second serves in the box most of the time, and it had enough pop to make a decent first.

With full synthetic gut, I have to try *way* too hard on a full power kick serve to use it as a second. Nowhere near enough spin.

I tried SPPP 16 at 55/53 and it was reasonablly good at it... I tried it again with 17G at 62/60 (and left alone for a day), and it played well... until my crosses' not pulled through 10 minutes later. DOH.

The last two days, I tried Cyberflash at 60/58 (on an APDC+) and after just an hour or two of hitting, my full-power spin serves don't have *nearly* enough spin to stay in the box. Hell, I can't even put my first in more than 10% of the time right now. Well, this is frustrating.

Do hybrids with synthetics and multis just have better spin on the serve than a full job? Or am I nuts?

My next job will probably be Big Ace 17. I've tried it before but this time it will be with higher tension. Maybe I should get some synthetic gut to use in the crosses...
