Does anyone know the stringing instructions for Volkl PB10 mid (93)? I've searched Stringforum and Klippermate website but this racquet is not in their database.

For one piece and two piece stringing please. All that is given in TW is the pattern info only.

String Pattern:

16 Mains / 19 Crosses
Mains skip: 8T,7H,9H
One Piece
No Shared Holes

Thanks!

I haven't got the racket myself, but by looking at photos I can see:
start head, skip 7+9H, 8T
Tie off mains: 8H
Tie off crosses: 4H, 11T

For one piece stringing (mains ending at top), I would go with tie offs at 8H and 11T.

PS: By the way: klipperusa does have the pattern, as follows:
POWERBRIDGE 10 MID 50 - 60 20'M - 18'C 16M X 19C 7,9T - 8B 8T 7T 4T - 11B

Good luck

The only thing else you need are the tie off locations and those are the larger holes.
On the first racquets I strung I marked the "skipped holes" with a sharpie before cutting out the strings. I still write them down, with the other info on the racquet (owner/date/brand/type/stringing pattern/inner-length/inner-width/DT28 advise from the Tension-Advisor/kg's I used/type of string/SBS after stringing).

The only time you would need all that info you asked for, is for the very first string-job on a racket (or when you would have renewed the grommets); you can always "read" the grommets to now if it is for a main or a cross.

You can always read the grommets whether they are new or not makes no difference. For instance, here is a picture of 1/2 of a head guard. with the left most grommet being 1H.

It is easy (for me) to tell the racket this grommet fits is an 18 main racket, the mains skip 8&10H and the top cross ties off at 6H. You just have to learn to read the pattern. Once you see it you wonder why you never seen it before.

You're right (of course). I meant the "simple" reading, when you see the deformations clearly showing the mains/crosses-grommets in the "tricky" area, the "corners".

I think that an old fashioned "fan" pattern could give some problems for the less experienced eyes (mine ;)) with "fresh" grommets.

Thanks beepee! Now how did I miss that on klipperusa?!!

Thanks for your inputs too Mathieu and Irvin. I hope to be able to one day tell where tie offs are by just by looking at the grommets

You have to put two strings in a tie off grommet so the tie off grommets are two times the inside diameter of the smaller ones in many occasions.
