Stringing Luxilon Power Rough crosses

I had to string a few rackets today with Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Rough in the crosses and noticed that no matter how much I kept moving the string up and down with my hand while pulling it through the grommet after weaving, it would damage the mains a little bit anyway, leaving little marks.

The mains were Wilson NXT Tour, I know these are not the toughest strings, but I wonder if anyone has got any good tips other than moving the crosses up and down as much as possible with your hand while pulling them through the grommet to prevent damaging the mains.
