I have had these great clamps for about 8 months and used them on about 25 stringing jobs. They are cleaned and in excellent condition. I have been experiencing them unclamping when pulling the handle down. The looser or tighter does not matter. I have rotated the white washer on there to see if that would help as it looks warped a bit. Still same resuts. Any suggestions for a fix?

Why haven't you called Mark at Alpha to discuss this problem with him? He may even replace the clamp for you which would be better than trying to fix it.

Something is not right... The design is so simple I can't imagine anything going wrong with these. Did you go through the procedure for assembling/adjusting them after cleaning?

If lube/grease gets on the washers or the roller, it will not latch as it needs some friction there.
