Suggestions on doing something stupid

This is an extension of my experiment in modernity thread where I chronicled my tests of new racquets. I have decided on the O3 Tour; one problem however, I can't afford it right now and really shouldn't spend the money till April. I tried to hit today with my Slaz X1 and PS 6.0 95 with the same arm pain I experienced before. I was able to hit fine with the old Graphite Director I had restrung recently but its a heavy beast to wield.

Here's my options as I see them.
1) Wield the beast or don't play until April
2) Sell or Trade either the PS 6.0 95 or the Slaz X1 to help defray the costs of the O3 Tour.

I really don't like either option but I'd be will to enterain suggestions.

Why not buy a used O3?

i'd say try and trade away the fraems you cant play with. Tehy dont do you any good if they hurt your elbow. Use the cash to get the frame you can use.

Vin and Hummer23, Thanks. I may put a want to trade up. I just hate to put the old pro staff out to pasture. But you're right, if I can't play with them I'm not doing myself any good.

What is the use of a racquet, if it causes you problems? You pretty much answered your own question. The PS is too heavy, and you're wanting to get the O3, so just sell the racquets that you can't use anyways.

Thanks theazneyes. I just put them up on the wanted up for a trade but I also put on there that I could sell them as well.

I always trade my racquets!
Right now, i trade my sixone 95 (9/10 cond.) for a wilson npro and a volkl catapult 10 both in 9/10 cond.!!!!(good deal uh!!??).
If the racquets don´t like me, i keep trading again and again!!!(just if i find good deals of course).

I put the Slaz and the PS 6.0 95 on the trading block under wanted. I know a straight up trade for the Slaz to the O3 wouldn't be fair but what about the PS for a used 03. It is freshly strung with gut (Tonic) and except for some cosmetic issues is in really good shape. Anybody have an idea what it is worth?

Oh, and I have an option three that I forgot about. I have an R22 that has never been strung. Somebody suggested to me that I could string it up since it is nice and flexible. I am a little worried about the weight and hate to string a racquet that's borderline collectible (if it isn't) that still has the cardboard advertising around the head.

If both racquet conditions are the same, I doubt anyone with O3 tour would trade it directly with the PS. Freshly strung with gut is really nice, but still even after taking that price into consideration O3 is almost twice as expensive as the PS right?

Not exactly double new. PS 130 and O3 200 before price match. But that's still quite a difference. I was kinda hoping that gut help even out some but an even swap isn't exactly fair I guess. I would probably swap both of mine for a good O3 Tour.

Can somebody give me an idea on price if I were to sell my two racquets outright? I figure about $50 on the Slaz (though I paid $85 about a month ago). I probably want more for the PS than it's worth. I was thinking about $100, especially since I just spent about $40 to get it strung with gut. If I could get that for both then I'll be within a little of what I can get a new O3 tour out the door strung locally.

PS 6.0 95 s*cks so trade em both, buy a used R22 and use it till April. By then, 03 Tour will go for $50, go buy 2 or more. Used an R22 today, nice open string pattern and I just strung it with Bab Super Fine Play 16 on Sunday. Far better than that PS, meant POS 6.0 95.
