Switching to a longer/heavier racquet

Ive recently made my switch from a 103 sq inch/27 in/9.9oz racquet to a 104 sq inch/27.3/11.5 oz racquet. I'm having slight trouble with my swinging as with the 9.9 oz racquet i can see that i can plow through and whip the ball with heavy spin as compared to the 11.5 oz one. I've made the switch in order to gain more power and with my serves, as soon as i got used to the 27.3 length and the 11.5 oz, it was phenomenal how much my speed and power increased. but i can't seem to get used to it when it comes to groundstrokes/backhand.

any advice anyone? I use a one-handed backhand if that counts for any.
i understand that heavier racquets require more prepping than do light racquets but i'm starting to almost lose hope here and deciding to just look around for a new racquet:confused:

An important consideration is the swingweight difference between the two. Also using a string set up / tension that you are familiar with and comfortable using is important.
When I had a comparatively slower swing and used a heavier, higher swingweight racket, I found it easier to switch to heavier/higher SW rackets if using one outside my usual range. Now that I've transitioned to using faster swings & ligher, lower SW rackets, I find it much easier to transition to other lighter, lower SW frames, and have much more difficulty using a frame that is heavy to a point where it is slowing down my swing. Ppl I talked to seem to generally fall into these catagories too.

How long have you been using the new frame? It took me about 3 days of 1-1.5hrs hitting with extended rackets to get comfortable with them. But with the extended length I found it easier to go lighter, more difficult moving to a frame that is both longer AND heavier/high SW.

Probably total time of 11 hours of play throughout the past two weeks that I've had it..
I've also been trying new string combos as I've used synthetic gut at 58/56 on my old, lighter racquet and now im trying a hybrid setup (poly main/52 and multi cross/57). maybe im transitioning with too many things at once?

I've also played with one of my other racquets (10.8 oz volkl v1 classic) that didn't really give me much of a problem at all.
