I am using PHT as of now and want to hear the boards opinion on PRC. My coach says its a very good string, and if I were to switch, I should to the Red Code.

I will be posting up a poll as well.

Red Code is a softer string than PHT. Both are great string and has good topspin potential. Is there something you don't like about PHT that makes you want to change? If you are looking for something softer than PHT then Red Code is a good string to tryout. I also feel as though PHT is on the "lighter" side when it comes to the weight of the string then Red code. So if you are pretty meticulous about the weight of your racquet, you may feel the difference.

I find the Red Code to be stiffer than the Hurricane Tour. I also think it doesn't last as long. I think it's pretty rare to find a player who would overall prefer the red code to the Hurricane Tour.

Never used PHT, but did use RC and cut it out as soon as I could. I found that it had no feel and the hitting with it felt 'plasticky'.

Yeah, a lot of College teams bought RC a few years ago, because it was cheap. It was not very durable or popular with players. Most have switched away from it.

I have never hit red code buy from what I hear it holds tensionreally well. I am a religious pht user but tension just drops way too quick even in the 16g. I remember once trying the 17g and it went even quicker.
