I am currently trying the 93p again but not because I don't like the tt 100p. I have three of them and if i can't play better with the 93p after a few weeks I will go back to them for the coming league seasons. I had tried the 93ps once and felt they were not forgiving enough for me. Just had to try them one more time (it is a sickness I know).
Anyway, I have played all of the older prince frames, POGs of all types, graphite pro of both sizes and more. I tried the TT100p about a year ago and I did not gel with it. Felt strange to me...muted but yet crisp. I decided to stick with my 100 tour 18/20s with the ports (which I have had for a few years now). Eventually I decided I was tired of stringing the damn ports so I just bought three TT 100p's after demoing all of the other phantoms. I like the head shape of the Tts better than the round shape of the phantoms (excluding the 93p). Once I figured out that they needed a lot of lead, for me, and that they needed to be strung on the low end of their tolerance, they played really well. No weakness in that frame at all. I do not love the beam width but after I hit with them a month or so I no longer noticed it...yes, less mishits. I do not find them overly powerful at all and now that I have dialed back the string tension I think they are extremely plush. Mine weigh 12.4 and are probably 11 pts headlight there abouts... I did not want to add more lead because I have it at three and nine going almost to 1 and 11. Still easy to swing with that balance. I want to attack more this year so I am giving the 93p a go because of how well I can dial in approach shots and volleys. I have those leaded up a bit for stability and it seems as though I am starting to dial them in. I played my best tennis 10 years ago with a Becker 11 mid and the 93p reminds me a lot of that stick. I am 49 now though and it remains to be seen if I can be more effective with the slightly smaller head. By the way, I found the tt100p much easier to play with than the 95 for some reason. I have never hit with the head but there is no need for me to do that. I think these prince frames are the most comfy out there.
