Textured Strings for the Crosses?

Has anyone used like a Big Banger Rough or a Kirschbaum Super Smash Spiky just for the crosses? Right now I'm pretty satisfied with a full poly job with my Super Smash Spiky but my stringer suggest using the Super Smash 16 original for the mains. He thinks it might be a little more durable. Any thoughts on that. I hit a pretty heavy ball... not too flat and not too much spin.

My current set up is...
Dunlop M-Fil 200 18x20
Yonex Super Grab White Overgrip
Kirschbaum Super Smash Spiky 16 strung at 58lbs.

Kirschbaum Super Smash and Super Smash Spiky? Those strings are so 5 years ago! Polys have moved on and advanced far beyond the days of the Super Smashes which are primitive by today's co-poly standards.

If you are seeking added durability then you might consider Unique Big Hitter. This is one of the more durable co-poly strings currently available plus it is more advanced in construction that the early Kirsches. With a tight string pattern in your racquet, you might even be able to get away with the 17ga version of the Big Hitter.
