The Clash is like the golden ticket that Charlie found in that single Wonka Bar on that bitter cold winter day. The only difference is that all tennis players can purchase their own golden ticket, and have their very own Clash without sacrificing their integrity.

I liken the Clash to s great massage. Stiff and hard when you need it, soft and buttery when the circumstances demand

Not a fan of some of what I perceive to be an Angell elitism at times, but they are good frames. Testing the TC97 side by side with a 2015 Blade 16x19 I found the Angell superior in pretty much all categories - including ease of use. YMMV but don’t think it’s an extraordinarily demanding frame, the 97 at least is right in that Blade ballpark IMO. If you ever have the opportunity to get one out for a spin, go for it, I think you’d probably like it.

The TC97 is so good and so forgiving. Good stuff!!

Poor play is never due to strings or racquets. That’s on the player.

Not true for me . My regular ground strokes with the same speed go in te lines sometimes with most tweeters they hit the fence . For me anyway . Unless I take half a swing

To be honest i don’t want to try sth which is even more demanding than blades which have the perfect blend of players racquet and ease of power.

Depends on the setup but I found the regular clash to be on par or greater power-wise than my 2015 blade 16X19.
To me it hits like a tweener - less demanding & easier from the get-go than rackets like a blade or the old radicals.

I only hit with it for short demo session but it felt like a less powerful pure drive/pure aero with a softer RA, more control, & better feedback.
I think the clash tour was strung with a multi - felt mushy & soft on contact.
The regular clash must have been strung with a poly because it played more to my liking - a crisp feel on contact but with the feeling of the ball sinking/cupping into the string bed slightly for a little more dwell time.

Despite all the hype surrounding it, I think it’s worth a demo for those who are looking for something in between a blade/radical and a pure drive/pure aero.
