That's amazing !
If anyone is here this weekend, we have the grass court reserved for 11 on Sunday. My son and I will play dubs w you and a partner (4.5 level).
We played today on the hartru clay and then the grass. Headed into the tennis garden in a bit to watch some practice.
Lots of official cars driving the pros around the streets.
Update: just got in. As soon as we walk through the gates a lady approaches my son and asks if he wants to play w Dimitrov. He hit w all the kids.
Saw Andy Murray and Jack draper practicing on the court next door.
JW MarriottSo where's the grass and clay?
Ah so. We saw Verdasco and Roddick (separately) in one of the restaurants at La Quinta back in the day, since we're name dropping. Also the Bryans and Hanchukova practicing on the courts there (also separately).JW Marriott
I'm going to the Cup, on Tuesday and just a grounds pass for the next couple days. The Cup sounds fun! Some of the world’s top tennis players will be teaming up at the Eisenhower Cup - a mixed doubles charity event - ahead of Indian Wells.

Uummm... I said "back in the day"They are all retired. Must be there to play some exhos or charity events.
IMO yes, if you are going to be there for the day AND night sessions. Is VIP parking worth it?

Just lot proximity. You can leave your cold weather gear in the car during the day and have quick access to it in the evening when it gets cold.aside from lot proximity, what other perks does it give?
Yup. You can also stash a cooler in your car and run out to grab some food and "beverages".Just lot proximity. You can leave your cold weather gear in the car during the day and have quick access to it in the evening when it gets cold.
Avoiding traffic jams after the last match.aside from lot proximity, what other perks does it give?
During the early rounds, the last match ends around 11pm to past midnight. At that time, there’s only a few cars remaining.Avoiding traffic jams after the last match.
Well if you leave when most people leave, you'll run into traffic (whenever that happens to be). And statistically you're likely to do so.During the early rounds, the last match ends around 11pm to past midnight. At that time, there’s only a few cars remaining.
They played dink and my son hit two short angles and made Dimitrov run, then hit a tweener. Dimitrov wasn't impressed and didn't hit one back.
from day 1 on BNP's site:Thanks for all the responses here and hope everyone has a good time if you are going.
I didn't realize it could get so cold
I'm praying to the gods that I can catch a glimpse of Monfils
So awesome. Dimitrov is a good egg.
From the websitesorry for the dumb question, but with the grounds pass I can leave in the middle of the day back to my hotel and come back for the night session right?
The grounds pass is technically for the day session, but you can stay and use the unreserved seats in the evening session. However if you leave the grounds and then want to come back once the night session has started, I suspect that they might not let you in. You should try and gain re-entry while the day session is still going on.sorry for the dumb question, but with the grounds pass I can leave in the middle of the day back to my hotel and come back for the night session right?

...hard-sided bags/containers are not permitted
They are not strict on bringing in small bags of snacks in your clear bag or candy in your pockets. You are allowed to bring in an empty, refillable water bottle like a HydroFlask. Finally back, been three years since we've been to IW/Paribas.
Wondering how strictly the food policy is enforced...small (single-serving) bag of chips gonna sneak through in backpack? Can I have some hard candy in my pockets? They aren't strip-searching or putting you through one of those scanners that requires empty pockets, are they?
And can we bring in aluminum water bottles? Or do they have to be plastic/flexible? The food policy says below, so wondering if dual-wall insulated Contigo water bottles are verboten?
Thanks for any info/experiences on this.
Thanks - looked these up online (didn't realize it was a brand) and they are aluminum so looks like we're good w/our Contigo alumnimum bottles. Good to hear they aren't disallowing small snacks!like a HydroFlask.
Yes, contigo aluminum bottles will be fine. Enjoy! Thanks - looked these up online (didn't realize it was a brand) and they are aluminum so looks like we're good w/our Contigo alumnimum bottles. Good to hear they aren't disallowing small snacks!
Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you for your support!I read it. My post was an extension of yours.
Went to the evening session last night. The doubles matches with Fritz/Paul vs. Evans/Peers and Shelton/Rune vs. FAA/Shapo were absolutely standing room only which was pretty fun. The only negative was getting out of the parking lot towards the end of the night, took us about an hour, don't think anyone was directing traffic. Also I noticed the size limits for clear backpacks wasn't an issue.
