The Prince Phantom 93P is a gift to us from TW - My Review/AMA

Switched from 93P 18x20 to RF97 nearly 3 years ago after playing with 93P for an year. Picked it up again. Boy! It felt heavenly. Such a phenomenal stick. Going to stick with it for the summer and see how it goes.. Gut/poly hybrid in both. Hopefully this never gets discontinued.
Not in the lineup of the latest Phantoms, so not looking good for our precious 93P, but we can hope.

I still have my 18m. I think it was the first 93p in black. Haven't tried the one with the hint of purple in the paint. I'd like to get the open pattern just to relive my POG Mid days.

I love all the 14x18 93 frames. I have a couple 93ps, a graphite 90, and 3 powerflex 90s. The open pattern really gets good bite on the ball.

My two 97ps and my two phantom pro 100s don't see much time anymore.

the POG mid gave me confidence as I was learning to make my 1hbh a weapon. with the extra spin it helped me. although i'd like to say i've improved a bit since then too.

I use the 93p 14x18 when I just want to have fun. I frame the ball often with my western grip and aggressively spinny forehand, but the way the head comes through contact is just perfect.
Yep, the 93P 14x18 is an outrageously fun stick to use.

I gave a friend of mine one of my 93ps to try, and he switched to it and is playing at another level than before, because now he has added an attacking style to his game.

His dynamic rating is .10 from 4.5c and I suspect he may get the bump this year with this switch. So going from a 100 to a mid can sometimes be beneficial, especially if you have good movement and fitness.

I also serve my best with smaller head sizes. I just get more power and placement.

I used to own the 18x20 93p, but felt like it tired me out in long matches.

For some reason the 14x18 feels considerably lighter. Maybe my 18x20 was slightly over spec and my 14x18 slightly under spec.

and the amount of string can add just enough to ones stamina

It’s interesting how easy it is to serve well with the 93p, very natural feel. I think they are great racquets.
I can understand why they would discontinue the 93P as many people would adopt the convenience of a modern tweener. I think what Prince could do is to offer the 93 weight and balance specs in say a 96 head, like even the 97P is too light:

I've been wanting a 16x20 version of it - the old Diablo Mid string pattern - which was perfect in the 93.

Part of what makes the 93p come around so well is the small head size. A 97 with the same weight and balance would not come around quite as quickly. I think more people could use the 93 but are just frightened by the small head size.

I love playing with the 93P. It has a very addictive feel and I can’t miss a serve with it:
