Titanium Racquets?

When I used to play a long, long time ago, graphite racquets were IT. There was really no other choice if you wanted a high quality racquet.

Now, it seems like there are lots and lots of titanium frames. I briefly hit with a low cost ti racquet, and the noise and vibration were appalling. It was not for me, to say the least. It was some very low cost wilson ti racquet.

Is there any such thing as a high quality titanium frame? Or is this simply a way of introducing a low cost lightweight racquet to the market?

What if I used a vibration dampener? Would this significantly reduce the vibration from a ti racquet?

If you choose a low quality racket, don't blame the marketing.
I have a low quality "titanium" Head racket. It's a 98, 16x20, around 10.7 oz, head light, and plays OK for such a lightweight racket. ]
I'm sure we could find expensive "titanium" rackets, but we need to find rackets that suit our game.
For me, even a Head LiquidMetalRad in 98 gets pushed around my medium strong shots, so I choose to go heavier. I don't care what it's made of, as long as it's the right weight and balance to hit the ball.
