Hi people, i have a question for you, i got an aluminium raquet that someone gave to me a few years a go, i started to play 3 months a go and i feel really comfortable hitting with this raquet, maybe cuz i havent used any other one yet, but i love this one, it is a Prince Pro Synergy Series

(the one in the pic is a new one i found in the internet, mine is identical just with a lot of use)

I just wanted to know if it is possible to restring it, im asking it mainly because someone in other thread said this about aluminium raquets:

Not worth restringing however.

and also because someone told me that it would be trouble cause the part below the "dampener" (idk how you call it) its not the same material as the whole raquet, it feels like a weird plastic.

So that is it, is it possible to restring it? what would be the right tension? Sorry if the question and the whole thread are stupid..

Thank you, and please dont make fun on that old stick

Yes, it is a 2pc only stringing. 18'x18' Start Ms at Throat.
Skip 8T&8H. Tie off Ms at6T. 1stX 8H last X 8T. Tie off Xs at 5H& 11T.
Pretty straightforward just remember to thread the center mains through the dampener and check for broken grommets before you start.
Recommended tension is 57-67.
I'd keep it in the 50's for two reasons.
1) you say it's pretty worn.
2) If the strings are very old, stringing at rec tension may feel very stiff in comparison.
Good luck, have fun.

Thanks fortun for your answer. I understand almost everything you said, but not this part..

- What is "Skip 8T&8H. Tie off Ms at6T. 1stX 8H last X 8T. Tie off Xs at 5H& 11T."?

I have in mind to tell this all to the stringer, i dont know much about raquet strings and stuff yet.

thanks.
