Top 3 travel together: Rafa, Djokovic & Thiem traveled together to Adelaide in a direct flight chartered by TA from BCN

They've already undergone 1st PCR & are confined in their rooms waiting for results to start training.

wasn't it more logical to do the PCR test and keep them isolated in BCN airport?
after travelling together, on such a long flight, if one has the wairuz, the others are pretty much locked to have it as well

well, except Novak, who might still have anti bodies from the summer

Some nervy times awaiting test results..

What happens after 2 weeks quarantine?
They get to walk around and no more tests?

By that logic, wouldn't the ATP have a rule against Federer traveling in plane? If the plane were to crash, it would be too catastrophic for the tour to recover from.
Not to mention people are more likely to die in car accidents than plane crashes. Guess Federer should be banned from being inside a car as well.

you would need to calibrate it:

how often one travels by car * probability of dying in a car accident
how often one travels by airplane * probability of dying in a airplane accident

not to say, that even this is simplistic.
I would assume that probability of dying in a car accident within city limits differs from highway, to name only one of factors

so,
how often one travels by car within city limits * probability of dying in a car accident within city limits
how often one travels by car on highway * probability of dying in a car accident on highway
how often one travels by airplane * probability of dying in a airplane accident

and then you compare the results and see whether it makes sense to forbid something

and don't forget, many organizations actually forbid their #1 and #2 to fly together

Cars are way unsafer than airplanes on a fatalities-per-mile-traveled basis, by several orders of magnitude too.

Lol my aunt and uncle never travel on a flight together. Their logic is that if the plane crashes, their children would be without both parents, so they often take different flights to the same destination. :D

I know that.
What I was saying that there are various factors playing into stats, and bringing one of them

but there are many others variables:
- country where you drive
- the car model
- whether you drive by yourself or have a chauffeur hired

and other variables.

I don't think that at most tournaments the Big 3 players are driving cars by themselves from hotel to the stadium, if you didn't understand where I'm hinting
and I don't think that there is a huge risk of dying in a car fatality in London for example, while being a passenger in a top car model, which often boast as well some of the highest safety rankings
or New York, or Sydney
