Hi Everyone,
I currently have been experimenting with various strings and have decided that I like a full poly set up (still experimenting with some syn guts though). As a result I am going to buy the following reels, to continue to experiment with and create hybrid setups.
The three reels of string are:
1. Tourna Poly Big Hitter Black 7 (not sure of gauge)
2. Gosen OG Micro Sheep (to string for others as a cross and try for myself) (not sure of gauge)
3. Signum Pro Poly-Plasma 17 (1.23)
I also currently have a reel of BHBR 17G (1.25) and Solinco Tour Bite (1.30).
My question to you guys is what gauge BHB7 and Gosen OG Sheep should I look at getting? I have read through some of the other threads and there does not seem to be a definitive answer. I was thinking 16G for BHB7 and 17G for the OG sheep.
Could you guys also provide some good hybrid combos to try with the strings I will have available?
I was thinking:
1. BHB7 mains; BHBR crosses,
2. Tour Bite mains; BHBR crosses.
3. SPPP mains; BHBR / BHB7 crosses.
4. SPPP / Tour Bite / BHB7 / BHBR mains; Gosen Crosses
5. Full poly with the same string (BHB7, BHBR and SPPP)
I currently use a Head YT IG Radical Pro.
Any help would be most appreciated.
