UNC/Duke Mens tennis

Just looking over Duke and UNCs men’s tennis rosters looks like both went through some overhauls from fall to spring. Duke adds back Lin and Mateas will cutting freshman Maciag while UNC cuts Kodali, schmitt, Kumar, and belovs. Anyone know anything about either schools situations? On a side note Duke does pull off huge win tonight over Arizona with Lin winning in three after getting destroyed only days earlier by Elon’s number six

"Lin winning in three after getting destroyed only days earlier by Elon’s number six"

Lin didn't play singles against Elon, only #3 dubs, losing with Mateas

UNC only has 8 guys on their roster right now. that's really small. anyone know what the deal is with kodali? i expected him to play a lot of doubles this year.

What in the world goes on at some of these schools? Crazy! Kids off team. Kids on team...makes you really wonder.

Maciag has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of Duke's conduct guidelines.

Anyone know the real story behind his suspension? The website only said "Maciag, who played in two fall events, has been suspended from the team indefinitely for conduct unbecoming of a member of the program."

He wore a baby-blue shirt to a team practice.

unc beat duke 4-1 in the ita regional. found out kodali from unc is sitting out this year to focus on academics. apparently eligible to play but decided not to, and may seek a redshirt if he goes to grad school. that leaves unc with only 8 players.

losing kelly to graduation really hurts unc in doubles. he was a natural doubles player and boyden is definitely not. blumberg is fighting through an elbow issue and according to his dad, he won't be 100% for up to two more months. it's going to be tough for him to get through all his matches at the ita tournament, however if he can at least field his court then it moves everyone up a line.

Just came back from watching #8 Illinois beat Duke 6-1. Duke took #1 singles and that was it at Champaign. Illinois doesn't seem to have a star player but several guys that play at the same level whom you will see interchanged throughout the season.

Ouch for Duke.... Well is it better news for Duke that they have the #1 recruiting class for 2019? Four Blue Chips and One 5-Star. lol
