I going to buy a new racquet & I'm confusing between two options:
1. Volkl Power Bridge 8 (295g unstrung)
2. Volkl Power Bridge 10 Light
Anyone tried two racquets? Can you help me compare it on some aspects like:
- Feeling
- Power
- Control
- Topspin
- Forehand/Backhand
- Serve
- Return of serve

I'm playing with Wilson KBlade 98 stringing RPM_Blast_17@52pounds, i feel it quite good but little over-swingweight (but i can manage it), a litte bit stiff (sometime my wrist hurt when i hit hard :(), not enought spin like some racquets I tried. And when I defend or save a point, it's not as good as Dunlop 500 Tour,...

Can you suggest me one in 2 Volkl options? :-?
Thanks you!

PS: Sorry for my bad English, because it is not my native language.

These two frames are designed for entirely different playing styles.

The PB 8 is designed for heavy topspin, like the Babolat Pure Drive; the PB 10 Light is designed for a player who needs a lighter player's stick, or for someone who wants to heavily customize his frame, and it is designed for more traditional strokes against lighter balls and lower levels of play if the stick is to remain stock weight. The PB 10 Light will also be the last stick in the 10 Line to have 18 mains, as it is recognized that a light frame with 18 mains, is counter productive for driving through the back of the ball, and although light and maneuverable, attempting heavy topspin with 18 mains is problematic.

And that means the old PB 8 will go on sale. You might want to demo the PB 8's cousin; the Becker DC Pro. It's less stiff than the 8 with similar power.

I can't compare the two but I have played the PB 10 Light and I do like the light a lot. Good feel, power even though it's light, control. Very nice racquet.

I just purchased the PB 10 Light and leaded it up to about 11.7 oz with weight at 3 and 9 and same amount on handle. For me (I'm a 4.0 player), it works well; lots of control, enough power and even topspin for my needs, volleys well, serves well, and I'm getting good depth to my forehands and backhands without hitting them long. It's also very comfortable and soft-feeling. Haven't tried the PB 8 but looks a little stiff to me, even for Volkl.

But as another commenter said, guess if I continue to like the PB 10 Light wit 18 mains, I'll have to stock up!

Hi, thanks you all!
I have a history of wrist injury, but I hit forehand with lots of topspin. Then I prefer PB8.
But I still worry a little about my wrist, then I'll prefer a racquet have bigger twistweight --> more stability on off-center hits.
(I search on Tennis-Warehouse, but not found "twistweight" of PB10 Light on link: http://twu.tennis-warehouse.com/learning_center/contours.php)
Can you compare about stability of two racquets? Thanks you very much!

If you have a wrist issue, then get the PB 8 315. It was produced to fill the holes in the PB 8 295' design.

However, if you also volley a decent amount, then add some lead to the PB 10 Light, so it will work with your heavy topspin FH, and will volley better than the PB 8s.
