Volunteering, donating, giving back

It's time for me to do a little more giving with somehow combining tennis. Whether it be volunteering my time or a little money I'm not really sure... I'm barely a 3.5 so any teaching may not be a good idea. Perhaps some sort of committee that needs volunteers, donating to a scholarship, any ideas?

Find a promising player and sponsor some of his tennis related activities.

Like me for example.

Kudos to you for seeing a need and searching for ways to fill it. That's extremely impressive, and something you should definetly be proud of.

USTA always needs volunteers on the local level.

I know some people who hosted foreign exchange students that were tennis players. I thought that was pretty cool and you could have regular hits with these high level juniors. :)

Or that racquet donor guy, there is an article about him in the tennis magazine. That was a pretty good idea.

Organize a charity tournament. Find a club or tennis director to help you...we do a big one around here every year that benefits St. Jude charities.
