Washing Dri-fit

Does anyone have problems with their dri-fit type clothes and small white spots that appear after they are washed? Of course I only notice this on medium to dark colors and you can take a damp cloth and wipe them off.

I never put them in the dryer and have tried different detergents. I never notice this on anything but the dri-fit.

Are you using liquid or powdered laundry detergent? I know you said that you've used different ones, but if all the ones that you're using are powdered, perhaps the grains aren't dissolving completely.

That's the only thing that I can think of.

When washing dri-fit or under armour stuff, do the following:

1. Wash them separately from other clothes
2. Do not use fabric softener
3. Do not dry them in the dryer
4. Use half the amount of liquid soap that you would normally use.

I'm sure washing them in a washing machine is fine, just follow Supracool's advice. Myself I hand wash them and then hang them, as I do with my cycling gear. Been doing that a long time with cycling jersey's etc so it just made sense to do that with my tennis gear as its more or less a similar material. Whatever you do, do not machine dry them, use less soap and wash them separately.

I always wash mine using a liquid detergent. Then I dry for 10-15 minutes on low heat and allow to air dry. Never had any issues here.

machine dry for me. as long as it is a light setting, you should be ok. if you put the dryer on "bake" though, expect the worst.

I'll try washing them separate with less detergent. I know they make a detergent especially for dri-fit but way too expensive.
