Every now and again I like to discuss topics like this. As many of you know Sweden had massive success in men’s tennis from about the very late 70’s and right through the whole decade of the 80’s, with a couple players in the 90’s.
However if you compare that period to now, there has been quite a dramatic decline, well that’s my perspective of the situation.
Does anyone here know what’s going on in Sweden with the sport of tennis ? Are they getting into Padel or Touch Tennis more these days ? What do you think.

I mean they still had Norman, Enqvist, Bjorkman, Johansson, Joachim Johansson and Soderling doing great into the 2000's - after Soderling though it's pretty much dropped off a cliff so its not quite been "nothing since the 90's" - but yeah about 10 years now since Soderling quit

I asked a former Swedish pro this question about 10 years ago and he blamed it on the surge of popularity in floor hockey, oddly enough. Now that I think about it, maybe floor hockey is the equivalent to pickleball in Sweden.

Fokina's father is Swedish, even though not 100% Swedish. It's sad with what's going on with one of the Ymer brothers.
