I've driven just about everything sporty short of 6 figure Ferraris, Lambos, Austin Martins and 911 twin turbos. I'll take an Evo, WRX or STi any day over a Boxter. They just drive that much better. The steering in my Evo and to a lesser extent my mate's STi, has more feel then the 911s I've driven, and LIGHTYEARS ahead of a Boxter. .

Are you talking about speed, and straight aways? Because in a slalom course with lots of tight turns the Boxster S outperfomed the 911's and Enzo Ferrari in relations to steering, suspension, braking, feel, etc.

I'm talking all around. I wasn't a big fan of the Boxter for some reason. And compared to my Evo, when it was stock, it felt sluggish, and bargelike in the corners, and steering just was eh at best. I expected more out of Porsche, especially after having driven 911s.

Nah, you change otu the springs, and it can ride way better then stock. I changed the stock for Esplir Active SUper Downs, and it dropped the car, and settled the ride. I've now got coilovers on it, and it's fine even here in the harsh NYC streets

IF we can ever get the dang tuning set right, I'l get it down to the track. Best I turned in last year was 12,5 on a factory turbo with some shaft play, this year with more pony power, I should hit 11s, which means time for a cage :(

the evo isnt for the straight...
go on auto-x or rally-x
much more fun...
i want to rally-x my Z but the setup even stock was too low and i would lose the entire bottom half of the car lol
the Z had technically all stock motor except exhaust and intake
but has had a lot of $$$ spent on handling mods ;)

Eh, not an autocross fan. Did it years ago with the Saab Turbo. If I'm doing handling, I prefer open track, which has been years too. The Evo is a hoot in a straight line. LOVE to **** off the V8 crew

lol
u can squeeze out like 400hp on an EVO with like 2000 dollars of mods...
i spent like 2000 dollars on exhaust and intake on the Z before and that only yielded maybe 10whp if that (undynoed just because i dont care about hp) LOL!!!

Yup, I know, and the Evo IX is even cheaper to eek 400 out of. I've seen people with just an intake, turbo back exhaust, fuel pump, boost controller and flash make 400 to the floor. Damn MIVEC head.
