Not really: put some PU insole inside and you will be surprised. The support is there, just the cushioning is non existing, ha

Yeah I’d agree, I was surprised at how confident I was playing in the after sticking a modern insole in them.

I’m tempted to do it with some of my old Adidas shoes too!

So cool, which one do you like better? The CM EVA midsole or the cupsole? I've got 2 pairs of the cupsole style and use a thick PU insole in them. They feel great, even though they are made in China, ahaha

Visually I prefer the CM EVA, I do like the cup sole to play on though. I like how you can gauge the wear on them when you can see the ‘cup’ disappearing away lol

Adidas for many years.
About 5-6 weeks ago tried the Head Spring SF and never took them off
My Adidas are collecting dust

I do love a good classic Adidas shoe
I got a pair of Ubersonic 3 in the Edberg color way a couple of weeks before Christmas and they were wrecked after 3 months of winter hardcourt use. Very light and great ankle support though.

So far I am impressed with the durability. That was one of things I could not predict. And with 6-month warranty I am set for 8+!months at $110

The Ü3s are a great shoe: very stable, roomy toe box without being clunky, secure heel, and fast. I wanted to get the Edberg colour way, but I have too many HC shoes and not enough clay court shoes. I needed them for clay courts and they come only with a HC sole, so I got the light blue Ü3s

and later on the ink blue colour way

I’ve started feeling a bit uneasy on my feet with these so they are now retired!

I have been using Diadora for the last 10 years and they are very comfortable with almost no break-in required.

Simply the best tennis shoes for me and no break in needed ever for me or blisters etc
Well worth the money and you don’t see to many people at the clubs wearing them. Yet they always seem to turn heads and have people asking what they are [emoji41]

What models did you use and what do you like most?

Blue shield 4 on the clay and Star Ace on hard courts! They both feel the same on foot almost. The Blueshield are great and I love the Star Ace too! The Star Ace feel the most stable and give amazing ankle support !

Just something about Diadora shoes - I love them!!! When I played football I used K-leather Brasíl and the Marco Van Basten boots and I had a pair of Seb Coe runners way back as a kid in school. I have a few pairs of their current runners too. The N9002 are so comfy for wearing so are the N9000 and they look amazing !

That’s a beautiful shoe
Materials look premium
Older model? Colours look the same as current Blushield model which I quite like. Your ones look nicer with the leather though

It’s a current model (well March of this year) I got them a couple weeks before lockdown.

I got the Blueshield in same colour way for my birthday in June!
The S. Star is made with ‘Premium’ leather.

What really surprised me is the Speed Blueshield are rated a heavier shoe than the S.Star on the Diadora website!!

I picked a couple of pairs of Diadora Blue Sheild 2 shoes off the auction site for cheap. I like big brands like Nike, Adidas but Diadora takes the comfort to another level. I have the booty tongue construction, the only hard part is slipping them on especially when new, once the feet is in place, it’s secure

I used Diadora for years when I lived in the Uk. Cool but didn’t last very long on hard courts. Now playing on clay and am a complete Mizuno convert, running shoes are some of the best and the tennis shoes also improving all the time.

Mizuno make quality stuff. I’ve heard nothing but good things about them.

The ‘all ground’ Diadora still are not the longest lasting on hard courts. The three month window I use them for are perfect for me though.

Glad you're liking them. I might also be hopping on the Mizuno train. Bought a pair of the Wave Exceed Tour 4s and am very happy with them. Very comfortable, and the warranty is always nice to have, even if I don't burn through the outsoles very quickly.
