What for? I can hit a slice off any height ball, and at my bad level, it won't matter in the least, not even in doubles.
I just hit a topspin backhand for fun of it.
At age 66, endless rallying from the baseline is the least of my concerns.
I was going to give up on the topspin 1h in favour of my more useful and effective slice but my old-fashioned flat topspin is such a natural shot for me that I still find myself ripping 1h topspin shots without thinking of it.
2HBH, with the dominant hand in conti grip. That grip makes it easy for me to switch to a slice if I don't quite get to the ball in time to hit topspin.
